  1. I imagine there are not many girls in the area attending this school
  2. Hi; is there anybody living in Dulwich with a daughter at the Grey Coat School who can provide some information; I am thinking of applying but the criteria for places seems a bit confusing; what's the best way to get in?; is it very difficult to get a language place?; what's the commuting like? is your daughter happy? Thank you
  3. If you don't have anybody else who pick them up and take them to the activities and you work Monday to Friday then the activities will need to be on weekends
  4. My child is travelling with a relative within Europe; he has a British passport. Does he need a letter from the parents to grant permission or is the passport enough?
  5. For some families one child is enough, for other two and for other three or more; you have to follow your heart; I found it hard with one but always wanted two; I feel my family is now complete with two and I definitely don't want anymore; I want time for my husband and myself as a couple and can't even imagine another pregnancy, birth, sleepless nights, etc. I know families with three and four children which are very happy; it is up to your family, your personality, your circumstances.
  6. Thank you Etta; will email the schools
  7. Thank you! That's a very small catchment for DVIS. I thought the distance was calculated as the crow flies not walking distance anymore.
  8. Does anybody know which was the furthest distance for a place offered at the Dulwich Infant School and Dulwich Hamlet Junior this year?
  9. When I went to the open day they said Reception children are taught mainly in English and introduce slowly to German language; once they go to year 1 and from then onwards the whole curriculum is taught in both German and English.
  10. Any idea how far did the first round of offers went to?
  11. Fit for sport at Dulwich College Artastic on Mondays and Wednesdays Holiday drop off. I believe is only half term now. All of them you can pay extra for early dropping and late pick up
  12. I had my two children in St Thomas and was very happy; however I didn't have any complications so not sure what is like if you requiere interventions; the maternity unit is very modern, ast least the part I gave birth
  13. Does anybody know of a good Rhythmic gymnastics class for girls near Dulwich/surrounding areas. Thank you
  14. Dulwich Woods nursery and pre school (Dulwich Federation now)
  15. They said in the open day last year that they were thinking of opening another year 3 for 2014 but I am not sure whether they decided to go ahead or not; It is better to call and get the information from the correct source. And in regards of qualify teachers I believe they are all qualify either in the UK or overseas; it all seems gossip to me

  17. With a second child I did not worry with my oldest one leaving night nappies until she told me she didn't want them anymore when she was 5 and there was no accidents after she decided to do it. I suggest you talk to him and tell him that if he does not want to wake up wet at night he should wear a nappy for bed; he should be old enough to understand and try again in 6 months or when you/he is ready.
  18. Mine chosen to go as one of the princesses; the only outfit she got but she is taking her favourite book to school; I am not stressed out nor going to buy an outfit or make one; There are more important thing to worry about. I do think it is a silly thing but small children like dressing up; the oldest ones should just given the choice to bring their favourite book.

  20. I think they should definitely put this in the newspapers. They should also put a formal complaint to the aquarium manager. if the police is not doing much they should try other sources
  21. That's terrible! Thank you for alerting everybody. Unfortunately London is getting more dangerous and now we need to be more vigilant; it is so easy for children to get distracted and so easy for us as adults to lose them as everywhere you go during school holidays is packed.
  22. Definitely take her to the Doctor asap. If they don't find anything try children probiotics
