  2. I think everyone is waiting to be honest...what is interesting about the letter is the last paragraph really. It tells a lot about the KD situation!
  3. Well exactly it was 'outstanding' so very odd. But as you say we should know soon enough. Thanks for all the knowledge though! Much appreciated for those of us who do not work in education.

  5. Thank you again Fuschia, it is interesting that Kingsdale is neither in special measures or is knowingly a cause for concern yet it had a section 8 inspection...is this therefore due to the exam board investigations?

Therefore this advice may not be relevant, or is it???
  7. Yes Metallic I totally agree. Parents with younger children at the school may not have had to deal with this yet, but I hope for the staff and the future of these younger students that these things are resolved quickly which can arguably only really happen if significant changes are made to the top layer of the hierarchy. I may be biased and too trusting of those who I know that work there. But I hate to think that so many staff are unhappy in the way my friends are.
  8. This was not a normal inspection from what my teacher friends from inside the school tell me, it was only 2 days and focussed on the management of the school and interviewing staff about this element of the school. Two of the people I know that teach there were expecting the results yesterday but the Head Teacher said it was 'confidential' at this point. Now...this is pretty much unheard of...but it will be in the public domain soon enough on the Ofsted website. One can just hope that the truth be told and that staff that were spoken to by inspectors told enough of the truth so that there are changes made to a school which genuinely could be outstanding.
  9. As much as I love the old Kingsdale chat, If anyone does have any relevant information that they would like to share with Ofsted then the email address you need is [email protected], they send it on to the correct team immediately!
  10. so are we any closer to knowing whether there is an inspection there? I know that no notice inspections are quite normal now, but they were only Ofsted inspected a couple of years ago... Kingsdale and the management at the school/academy is one of my favourite topics on here, let's hope they do not remove these posts this time. If they hadn't done so in the summer they might not have looked so guilty, oh no I forget those that are guilty will always look guilty, silly me!
  11. The point I originally tried to make was that I cannot understand why the head teacher would present themselves to be an ally of this government who has made some shocking changes which will affect the children who attend Kigadale ie. Students who are exceptionally able and bright but on the whole (although not so much any more) able to pay up to ?9000 per year in tuition fees. Whilst this is only one example of their policies which will impact on our childrens' future, it is one example of why the school should be distancing itself from this government. I have just spoken to a friend who has a child who attended the school, she suggested that this is just another one of the head teachers moves to increasing his chances of receiving his CBE, OBE or similar? Interesting but perhaps just another conspiracy story.
  12. I would also question whether the whole school is as supportive of the coalition government as the BBC have just suggested!?
  13. As a prospective parent, I do not feel comfortable with this relationship. First the move to academy and now this, where is this all heading? The school was growing before this government took its place and should therefore not be able to lay any claim to anything. In fact it could be argued that the change in the school which is reflected in the building would not have been possible without the Building Schools for the Future program which has lovingly been scrapped by this new government.
