I fully endorse the recommendations above - Tony fixed a long standing and annoying broken gutter quickly and efficiently. I'd definitely use him again.

I can also thoroughly recommend Steve. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and sorted out a solution - at great value too. Eddie

Last seen yesterday morning - she is white with black patches (one eye black, tail all black with white tip) and usually spends her time in Rodwell/Heber Road gardens. She is most likely to be hiding nearby, possibly having been frightened by building works so I'd really appreciate it if you could check your gardens/sheds if you are close by. She is a much loved family pet so please let me know if you think you may have seen her. 07834 762755

It ended up as a 1-1 draw, so Dulwich slip to 6th and out of the play-off places for the first time since September.... Nevertheless, it's still been a great year considering it was the first season back in the Premier Division. The crowd of 1,388 shows the potential that the club has to keep pushing on. There will be a player awards evening at the ground on Saturday 10th May (7.00pm) to say thanks to the players - free entry and food. Details to follow.

Dulwich Hamlet FC - Help The Promotion Push
EM74 replied to DHFC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
For those like macutd who have been inspired to become regulars, there is still one week in which to take advantage of the club's 'early bird' season ticket offer. Adult season tickets can bought for just ?135 before May 6th, which gives admission to 23 home (Premier Division!) league matches next season - after this date the price will rise to ?190. Daily admission prices are expected to rise to ?10, so it doesn't take too much working out to see what value they are. Concessions are ?50, 12-16 year olds ?25. Accompanied under 12's are admitted free anyway. Application forms with all the details can be downloaded here: http://freepdfhosting.com/a706c1d8dd.pdf -
Dulwich Hamlet FC - Help The Promotion Push

I've posted a few more details in the 'What's on' here. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?6,1096111 Out of interest it is: 35 years since Dulwich Hamlet last won a Divisional title; 21 years since they last enjoyed a promotion; 12 years since they were relegated from the Ryman Premier Division; and 1 year since they lost the promotion play off final (for the second season in a row!). So years of disappointment, waiting etc could be laid to rest on Saturday. If you haven't been before, do come along and (hopefully) enjoy the occasion. -

A big clear up operation by volunteers means the match is definitely going ahead. So come along and watch some football in good old fashioned wintry conditions. Big crowd expected so please arrive in plenty of time -
I thought people might be interested in some rare footage of a match played in 1949 between Dulwich Hamlet and a Nigerian FA XI (most of whom played without boots) at the old stadium on Champion Hill in front of 18,000 fans. This is from the Colonial Film website which describes itself as holding detailed information on over 6000 films showing images of life in the British colonies. Over 150 films are available for viewing online. Apparently you can search or browse for films by country, date, topic, or keyword. Over 350 of the most important films in the catalogue are presented with extensive critical notes written by an academic research team. This film clip contains excellent footage of Nigeria's games at Marine FC near Liverpool, & the one at Champion Hill, with the majority of the ten minute clip being focussed on the latter. http://www.colonialfilm.org.uk/node/1444 To find out more of this amazing tour (including which local venue hosted the teams' after-match dinner), there is also a section on the excellent Hamlet Historian blog on the following link http://www.thehamlethistorian.blogspot.co.uk/2010_06_01_archive.html All told a great reminder of the club's heyday - 1949 being the last time Dulwich Hamlet were Ishthmian League Champions! - and the post war South London.

Season tickets aren't valid unfortunately. Admission on the gate is ?9.00, ?4.00 concessions, accompanied under 12s free

Thanks Steve, but in common with Spurs supporters, we've been saying there's always next year for a long time - particularly since relegation to this level in 2001! Hopefully you're right. For the growing numbers (crowds up 75% this year) who would like to watch regularly to find out if next year really will be the one, season ticket prices and details have been finalised at ?110 for adults, ?60 over 60s, ?40 students 17-21yrs, ?10 12-16yrs. Under 12s are free (application on link below). The price includes pre-season friendlies, one of which has already been arranged at home to Crystal Palace on Tuesday 24th July. http://freepdfhosting.com/9590ccad67.pdf

Tuesday's Erith match was on, but was abandonded after a few minutes after two players slid on an icy patch and injured themselves on the perimeter fencing. Probably some sort of record for the shortest game before abandonment. Anyway, it has now been re-arranged for Tuesday 31st January in case anyone's interested.

Well ,the unbeaten start to the season came to a crashing halt on Saturday, going down 1-5 at Conference South side Sutton United in the FA Cup, although the performance wasn't nearly as bad as the scoreline suggests. Prior to that they played two tough away league matches at Whitehawk and Bognor and came away with a draw from each to stay top of the league with 20 points from 8 matches. They now have three home matches in the next 10 days: Merstham in the League on Tuesday 4th Godalming in the League Cup on Saturday 8th Hythe in the League on Tuesday 11th Details of each will be on the What's On section as well.

The youth team are on the march again. In the FA Youth Cup last year they reached the 3rd round proper of the competition - beating Yeovil Town before losing to Newcastle United, both of them memorable evenings at Champion Hill. This year they had to start all the way back in the preliminary round again and were handed three successive away ties! Nevertheless they won their first tie at Sutton United 3-2 (having come from behind to do so) and tonight have cleared the next hurdle winning 4-0 at Molesey. They will be away to either Welling United or Lingfield in the next round. Hopefully they can win that and get to play a tie at Champion Hill at last.

Sorry Laddy Muck, I've only just noticed this thread that you started after all these months. It's been quite a season so far. Fingers crossed for the rest of season. The next two away matches (Whitehawk on Saturday and Bognor Regis the following Tuesday) will both be tough and a good indication as to how strong they really are. I've just posted the following details of fixture changes that now take place in October in the What's on Section: Saturday 1st October - the scheduled league home match is postponed - Dulwich are instead away to Sutton United in the next round of the FA Cup. So the next home games scheduled are: Tuesday 4th October - Merstham at home in the Ryman League (although it could be postponed if either team has a cup replay). Saturday 8th October - Godalming Town at home in the League Cup (new date) Tuesday 11th October - Hythe Town at home in the Ryman League (new date). Thanks for your support and keep spreading the word.
