  1. 20 mins on the bus so far from Heber road to BP garage on grove vale. Complete joke.
  2. Yes, paragraph F nails it. But broader than that. A clear summing up.
  3. It's the basic obfuscation of data, biased questions and misleading interpretation that I am referring to. I read the report of the exercise at the time and they totally buried the true responses of the participants! I worked in independent market research for my career so I know what I am talking about. Basic misrepresentation of views. To be clear my comments relate to Southwark council and their adoption of the Dulwich LTN.
  4. Totally agree Rockets. If I'd behaved like that in my job I would have got sacked!
  5. Just come across the thread. I'm pretty frustrated but prepared to put up with some road works by M&S. Not sure they are really necessary and I think the council is spending their budget for the sake of it. However what is incredulous to me is that it seems they are narrowing the main road (Grove Vale) next to the Cherry Tree. Why? This is a (the) major thoroughfare! I was on the bus this am travelling from Heber road to Denmark Hill station. Traffic all backed up. Council - people have jobs, they have to get into the centre of London. If you want to improve the general environment then ok but don't restrict the traffic flow. Insane! Who makes these decisions? (Don't get me started on LTNs).
  6. Saw the bridge today. Tree was cleared and could not see any discernable damage....
  7. Smart looking sofas x 2. One with slightly higher back than the other but matching style and colour. Would look good in any reception room. About 15 years old. The odd mark, nothing major. Cushions could do with a little plumping. DM me for more photos. Dimentions = 176 cms length x 95 cms width.
  8. I just got pinged on this today. Useless signage - at least Townley Road is much clearer. Just a money making exercise for the council. Pathetic. Can't drive anywhere in Dulwich these days - either takes forever to get out of the neighbourhood (why a 20mph on major South Circular road for goodness sake) or you get pinged. Great improvement Southwark! Not to mention subjective interpretation of all residents' feedback, which does not support LTNs. If I misinterpreted data like this for my job I would be sacked!
  9. DM me if you think it is yours...
  10. I spoke to one of the workmen last week and he said a couple more months...
  11. Why doesn't it have an effing cut off switch? Been going on for hours!
  12. Hi, has anyone heard of these guys and any feedback? Thanks
  13. A shame. The old Lloyds bank site up by the library still hasn't been developed either...would make a good restaurant.
  14. Thanks First Mate!
  15. Is there a petition to express views against this unbelievable undemocratic nonsense? Thanks. If one exists perhaps it could be pinned somewhere?
  16. Big shame about Hisar. They definitely did the best take away kebabs by far, very freshly cooked, none of the dodgy stuff....
  17. Definitely voting conservative in local election. Definitely won't be voting conservative in general election 😂
  18. Yeah, agree this is BS. Half a million, come on!
  19. Not clear which party, if any, is going to abolish LTNs?

    Local elections

Aha- wasn't aware. I guess it's just London mayor. Many thanks!!
  21. Does anybody know which party best represents a position on reversing the nonsense road restrictions over the last year? Thanks
  22. I understand that the lib dems are standing aside in our constituency in favour of the greens. Does anybody know the results from the last election? i.e. how big the challenge is for the greens to unseat labour? thanks
  23. Poor shout from our local counsellors methinks. James Barber would have been all over this.
