  1. Hello, Where are you based please? Thanks!
  2. I've lived in a flat on Dawson's Hill for 17 years. I have never felt unsafe coming home. I don't use the back paths in the dark at night, but I wouldn't do that any place as a woman on my own.
  3. Thankyou. Not suitable for my situation. Thanks though.
  4. Hello, What is the height of this please? Many Thanks, Natalie
  5. Hello, You've probably already moved ahead with your floor now, but I wanted to add that I have used this company. Although the floor looks beautiful, it is very easily marked. If I drop my keys I have a hole in it. Goodness forbid if I was to drop anything else. I do love the floor, but it is hard work, and I am constantly conscious. I wouldn't buy it again. Best wishes.
  6. Hello, There is a small electricals recycling box on Quorn Road, opposite the Denmark Hill Sainsburys.
  7. Wow Alec1, that's super generous of you. Thankyou! This morning the TV has been rehomed, with someone who can use it further. So I'm very happy. Thankyou though!
  8. Thanks all. Looks like Gumtree might be the winner. If the person shows up! I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I honestly didn't think Gumtree or freecycle were really a thing anymore. Thanks. Festive wishes.
  9. Thanks Jazzer. I will give gumtree a go. I wasn't asking for any money on the other sites I've advertised it on. But hadn't thought of gumtree. Thanks.
  10. Hello malumbu, I have tried to get rid of it through this site too. I thought the same that it might be ok for a kids room, to watch dvd's or something. But apparently not. I also listed it on the facebook group of the estate I live on. I don't have to pay if I take it to the tip myself no. But I cant physically get it there on buses and trains. I'm fairly fit, but its just not feasible. I'm not sure if there is a whatsapp group for my street, or how I'd even go about finding one. Thanks though!
  11. Hello, I'm looking for some advice please. I have an old TV, which I have tried to rehome, but no-one seems to want it, fair, as it's not a smart tv. But I'm now looking at how to dispose of it? I've contacted a charity to collect but they haven't got back to me. It's too big for the WEE recycling bins and I don't have a car to get to the tip with it. Southwark want £35 to collect it, which seems very extreme. Does anyone have another suggestion that I haven't thought of please? Many Thanks, Natalie
  12. Morning, I've just noticed a small electrical recycling bin by Denmark Hill station as I was going past on the bus!
  13. Hello, I have lived on the Dawson Heights estate for 12 years. Would be happy to answer any questions if you message me. Natalie
  14. Hello, Who did you use to get rid of the bathroom items? I have some and was hoping Southwark Council would collect them, but they are not covered on the bulky items disposal. Would appreciate the details of the people you used and how much it cost. Many Thanks. Also, very shit that you've had to get rid of someone else's rubbish.
