My son loves shreddies. I found them great when learning to use a spoon as they can also just pick then up with fingers which means you don't have to spoon feed and can eat your own breakfast. At 20 months now, sometimes he picks them up out of the bowl with one hand and put them On the spoon which he is holding in the other hand. Mixed in with chopped banana, berries or raisins.

Having just moved to east Dulwich when I found out I was pregnant I joined DMC as I heard the Lanes were fabulous, BUT even though I called at 6 weeks pregnant I couldn't get on their books. I opted for home birth and had the Brierly midwife team who are fabulous (also with them again for number two) but worth pointing out that they only cover home birth candidates and I think, a select number of ladies with mental health concerns (depression and the like) or more vulnerable women.

How old is your little one?

I know you don't want to hear this but I found that really only the steroids worked as a short/immediate solution to the eczema in my son (the worst for him was between 6-12 months) We were at St Thomas for a separate viral issue and it led to a massive flare up, they had a pead dermatology consultant and nurse come and see us and they explained a lot about eczema. I was referred to a really good service operated by the nurses from St Thomas and held at Paxton Health centre for 3 mornings educating about eczema. I found it really helped me to understand it (as I could not sympathise, the allergies are all on my husbands side). Ill try and dig out the details and pm you. My little one is now 18 months and it doesn't sound like he's as bad a your little one but we use Epaderm religiously twice per day and keep a stash of low grade steroid at the house just in case. Our GP would not refer to dermatology without us having tried steroids and I was so reluctant. It was only when he was in hospital and it got really bad that I decided to do it. My sister in law has had some success with homeopathy in her now 7 year old. You have to be prepared for a long slog though as its a long process. Good luck with everything X

Sounds great MM22! Sadly I'm working full time until Feb but will be a lot more flexible after that. Still feeling so crap all I want to do on weekends is sleep when not entertaining my two favourite guys. Hope everyone else is feeling well! X

Haven't used sitters.co.uk in London but I have when we've been on holiday elsewhere in the country and they've been fantastic! We use family or our nanny to babysit and pay ?8/h or ?9/h at weekends. Ps Cheryl_m, definitely don't feel guilty!!!!!

We did these classes with little one when he was around 9 months and it was great. The pool is tiny but really warm. Parking was a bit of a mare there on a Saturday so get there early if you choose sat lessons.

I have given my little man all brands in his short life and didn't make a difference to him, I think they are all much of muchness!

I am a regular cycle commuter but cycle to Battersea and have to say, I agree with the above. It takes out the guilt of not going to the gym and it hardly rains at e time you're actually on your bike. Really nice idea Jon, I hope some people take you up on your offer!

We went to a Wedding at beauberry house, just between Dulwich picture gallery and bel air park. It was very nice!

I would have loved someone to come round and just look after me, do some cleaning, make some home made food and just generally chat to me when I was sat on the sofa bored (usually between 4-6pm clock watching!) COOK is a good option for nice freezer meals if you are feeling generous and don't enjoy cooking, they also deliver and when my mate had her second set of twins (yes I know) we sent a whole load of things round there and she was stoked. The facial/massage/treat ideas are all lovely too, but only if baby is not attached to the breast and demand feeding.

After repeatedly calling the hospital itself I'm no more the wiser, so turning to the friendly peeps of the EDF... My son (16m) is due to have his MMR at St Thomas hospital on Friday, he has an egg allergy and so needs to have this done under supervision. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know how long the appointment takes? I'm guessing the whole point is that they keep them in for a few hours to observe but I really have no clue and don't know how to expect to have to hang around at the hospital. It anyone else has any ideas then please let me know! Thanks!
