My friend bought that flat - we did venture down the basement (with a little Dutch courage) and it was very basement like. I agree - a bit creepy. But we faced our fears!
  2. We used to eat there all the time - great little place. Bryan also told us one night when we were indulging in a(nother) cheeky glass at the bar about his beloved Springer Spaniels...my memories are that he had more than 2, but I could have remembered "wrong" too... Still, at least we have the e-dealer to put us straight hey?
  3. no, the other really well-known Andy Coulson
  4. and the lead part played by an Aussie
  5. Love public music. Also, if he is standing still outside the same spot and you're walking to your train, surely you're not having to listen to enough of it to get so annoyed about it. Maybe you should wear headphones and listen to something else. Or would that annoy you as well?

  7. I have read this post through and through. At what point did MissNoodlesForBrains ascertain the dog on the 'scene' was a poodle? Did I miss something? And I really feel for you NowAndHere. Not a good thing to happen to anyone. And I appreciate that what you gave was a description of the guy, and the car he drove. That's it. He could well have been 'To ginger guy in an orange car'. If you'd put 'guy in car', you BET people would have been on it saying...."well, what did he look like? what was the colour of his car?" Doesn't make you racist. Ignore posters who try to make you feel guilty for what was a horrid thing to have happened to you.
  8. Must be horrible to be so fearful of what are - 99.9% of the time -such friendly, well-behaved, fun, obedient creatures. They're not called Man's Best Friend for nothing. My gardener was petrified of them - until she made friends with her sister's puppy. Now she likes them. Maybe one day she'll get one, but she's not reduced to tears any time she sees one any more. Progress, no? Perhaps you need to do something to overcome your fear - I did with flying, can't stop me know!
