  1. It connects through Facebook yes, but I've spoken to the founder and as far as I can discern, it seems secure: "we will never sell our user info, never spam our users, nor will we violate their privacy in any way. A few of the fears that we've seen relate to the use of our user data. Echoing off of the statement above, even if we wanted to sell our user data, we built the back end encryption to make it physically impossible to do this- even if I wanted to see where a specific user lives, I couldn't. Essentially, the app requires permissions to perform opt-in functions- for example, if a user wanted to share an alert on their wall, we need permission to post to their wall. Again, we never violate our users privacy so all of the permissions are opt-in."
  2. Hey guys, I'm Sam. I'm currently researching a new app/service called Home Elephant. I think it could be a really interesting addition to the East Dulwich Forum. Have a look at and see what you think. Join me - I'm currently the only one on there. Any questions or queries, gimme a shout. http://www.homeelephant.com/
  3. Tried most of them. Best was a takeaway from Peckham, the place was called Ghandi. Menu says, in large black type, 'Thank-you' on one side and 'please' on the other. Had the Captain Patilla and was very impressed.
  4. Good estate agents...wishful thinking. Try 'least inept estate agents' Experience with: Ludlow Thompson - CRAP. Foxton's - CRAP - they'll try and soften you with free beer (which you end up paying for indirectly). Hindwoods - Currently with, seem nice, although fairly ineffectual. Go direct via GumTree or this forum if possible - although be careful not to get burned.
