  1. This thread made me smile! I have the delight of putting triplet 2.5 year olds to bed.
  2. Very funny! Thanks for making me laughh :D
  3. Hi, husband sucesfully challenged a ticket that was never put on his windscreen a few years ago. But i think they may have changed the law since then so the fine can still be issued as JohnL says. Not sure. would still challenge though as it would have been safer to stop than drive feeling ill?
  4. Congratulations! We are members of Dulwich twin club and I definitely recommend joining. They organise a Baby and Toddler meet up a couple of Tuesdays a month at a church hall at the top of Red Post Hill (separate baby area and volunteers running the group - all for multiples). From April, we will start to meet up in Peckham Rye again on every other Friday (sometimes more often) in the enclosed picnic area. These will run throughout the summer. Expectant mothers (and fathers!) welcome to join too. The twin club also do multiple ante-natal talks at King's College Hospital. And - there is the Nearly New Sale next Saturday. Plenty of bargains to be had. Have a look at the website as suggested by RobMiller above. Also - Ivydale children centre run a multiples group every Thursday morning. Staff very helpful when you need an extra hand and will help you bring in / out children to buggy or car.
  5. Hi, i too would definitely recommend all of the above. Especially meeting up in Peckham Rye Park on Fidays during spring/summer is great.
  6. My children get bottle (cup) in the morning, night but also after their nap in the afternoon. Thought it is probably too much? They are 2.5 yrs... Bedtime is bath most nights (chasing involved to catch them and take their clothes off and get them into the bath), bath followed by jumping on our bed whilst I dress them. Then story and milk, followed by teeth. Then another story followed by bed. Takes about an hour from when i start filling the bath.
  7. Primark tends to be quite small / narrow.
  8. The female doctor is great. Can take a week to get an appointment though with her (but I have never had something very urgent to see her about)
  9. We have three toddler seats in the back of our Volkswagen Touran. (MPV though).
  10. Clapham 23 Feb. http://www.nct.org.uk/branches/clapham/events/nct-nearly-new-sale
  11. Hi James, I just found out that the 100hrs pharmacy at Dulwich Medical Centre on Crystal Palace Road has been approved by the PCP(?) However it says that DMC still need to apply to the local authority for permission to use the premises as 100hrs. Can people who live close to DMC have their say as part of the process of the local authority reviewing the application? Thank you!
  12. Hi, Not sure if this helps at all... We bought our oven from ikea about 3 years ago and am not sure if it is a Nutid or Framtid. The child lock is good, however I feel it takes a long time to heat up. It can also get a bit hot from the outside, although not hot enough for a child to get burnt. If I was to choose today between ikea or John Lewis, I would definitely go for John Lewis.
  13. Oh no! Hope he is better soon. (and it would be great to catch up when he is better.) x
  14. I used to go to King's regularly whilst pregnant and used the car park that INMCD mentions below. Straightforward but was full on a couple of occasions ( out of plenty visits) INMCD Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I always park in the car park just before Kings on > the left hand side where the garden centre used to > be. 15. Hi, Yes, contact the twin club (I am a member). They should be able to put you in contact with parents who have gone through the same type of pregnancy (one gestational sac etc) You could also get advice from parents who have gone through the same experience of having young children and then expecting twins ( and even triplets) as child no 3, 4 & 5! I went through a 'higher risk' pregnancy and had regular scans at King's and they were great, so you are in safe hands. Good luck. X
  16. There is a printer on Oglander Road, maybe they can help?
  17. Quite a few cars had their wing mirrors ripped off last night on Crystal Palace Road.
  18. We had someone from King's a year or two ago, asking for money. To me it seemed odd that King's would have to go and knock on doors for money. He did seem genuine though (well at least for what I could tell)
  19. There is one close to Acorn estate agents on Lordship Lane. Not sure what it is called though.
  20. St Christopher's Hospice charity shop on Lordship Lane?
  21. And try to ignore the state of the house (easier said than done sometimes). Don't beat yourself up for not cooking Nigella type dinners - Fish fingers does the trick. But when you do cook, make a massive batch so it's enough for the whole family for a couple of days.
  22. The guys in North Cross Road charged me ?30 for a service. My bike had been in the shed for 4 years....... Saying that, it is nice to have a permanent bike shop around so I will try out BC bikes next time. damzel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What a great idea!
