I find saying "thanks but i dont do jesus" works fine. (then bosh back upstairs to practice the nativity tunes. which that time, is exactly what happened.)

you can get organic ones in that smart grocers consort road. organic xmas trees? wow. get me some a dem. sign says "organic xmas trees". must be pricey. not understanding much about all this but, isnt growing the real trees good for the enviroment? surely they pump out the oxygen. plastic must = bad no? not everyone burns the trees when used. they get chipped up and reused.

amazing result. my friend just showed me some footage from outside his window 9.30pm yesterday. was a massive party. cops hi5 ing poeple, people dancing on moving buses.looked like whole town on streets going mad. that was berekely SF.

Poor Digital/Freeview Reception on ITV/C4 in East Dulwich?
woodie replied to p_in_ed's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
i tried freeview and it was really bad. seemed i needed to reduce the signal because we are so close to crystal palace tower. what i was told anyhow. seemed nuts.. -
not sure if its paint like sportground white paint or even, a lime solution but whatever it is quite a few people returned to their cars and splatch! is all over one side. i saw cars as far as honor oak splattered. youll see the road all the way up from dunstans lights is covered in it. If you follow the mess back it starts at the water works,,the lorries the lights where put there for. it looks, no kidding like a lorry filled to the brim with white paint overspilled. like, every time he put the brakes on.

Awful news, 3 year old girl died after car accident.

michael maloney. my vote but doubt it'd be him. for me, where they go wrong is by not choosing someone other worldy and kind of, old school scientific. Recent guy did a good job of the role but I dunno, felt like the original 4 doctors had an authority about them.Even now. I think the 'our boys in afghanistan' type music is not right either. bbc radiophonic is, was so strong and made that show individual and groundbreaking visually and audiowise. So for me its sack the management re think. Sure the youth of today enjoy the show its hugely popular. But then again, get it right and they'll have nightmares for life. Like the 60 kids did. Those sweaty yeti and that horrible (fantastic)sound.. Bet you theres a modern day delia derbyshire out there. for example some of those loonies up at birmingham university that work with 'beast sound system' for sonic arts. As a teenager the music of dr who and other electronic music inspired me so much I tried to get an electronic music course going at goldsmiths. 1976 or so must have been. failed! Bet theres one there now. Im hardline dr who nut. Havent been able to watch it since tom baker. sorry. tried. not hard enough. my 10p rant. Hi locals. which reminds me. v neat lunch at Locale goose green. recommend. need somewhere to take mum. there works.

was gonna say.use the other heh. worth knowing about though, how you reset the on/off. if say it was in sleep mode it may not know if its on off sleeping or whatever when the power comes on. so you think its broken. seeing as, seems to be more power cuts recently. weve had a few drops in power here.
-
Hi Shu. one thing, its been mentioned here about how many planes there are above us here. in a powercut you notice them much more.
-
sure, thats why i mentioned the smu reset..so any similar people such as I will not have to pay a fortune to get the machines going again. cheers though. glad to know youre around if needed.

In 2 days I have seen 3 instances of gobsmacking lethal driving. One on forest hill, mentioned in t'other thread ,yesterday a bloke trying to break the land speed record on scutari road. He hit he speed bumps so hard bits of his car flew off and the Crackk! as he hit it brought a few people out on the street in disbelief. Then this morning my least favorite stretch of road, honor oak road running along fairlawn school. I dont think the van driver saw my daughter as he ran out of patience by canonbie road. He just drove onto the pavement to get past the car turning right to go up the hill. Say a foot away from my girl. He had no windows shes was below window height. So, as that stretch is always stressfull, drivers always in a hurry, it is my first entry to the list, should anyone wish to chip in. 1)honor oak road.

Oh my, I see what youre all meaning. The design is so impractical.Standing in that endless queue then halfway down the freezer moment. ha! the whirr of the machinery making freeze all around you like you're in a submarine of cold. Can you imagine i was cheesed when that little halloween torch dint work and i knew I had to take it back there.Id bought 2. one worked other intermittent. ha the queue, the muted outrage from the people lined up as both till people became embroiled in my 3 pound torch saga. In their defense the torch was exchanged but i did have to work it a fair amount. See I had no receipt as did every single person ahead of me. they took their change and left pronto. Like i originally did. So "without a receipt we cannot refund"/ didnt rub. "Ive just watched about 7 people not handed a receipt, if you dont mind me saying, thats why I dont have one, yes I should have asked" "that may well be but we cant refund without.." nope just wanted a working torch..back home there was tears going down. I was, you know, putting the torch together showing them , so reckon it took about 7/8 minutes untill i was done. thats a century in co op queue time. a customer slapped me on the back playfully as i left . Bet it wasnt out of support. As I say, one of the guys was really helpful , the guy who sold me it, others where protecting the business. It was just funny in a way because of the awful queue. Its just so , wrong, the layout. A shop you wouldnt dare take a buggy in? wheelchair? no way. oops.

I know this is about the dunstans road lights, however I'd like to point out the danger of the next lights up. Having just witnessed the fastest burn up yet, up the forest hill road immediately after dunstan lights, going uphill, a porsche. Looked like 70mph, (reached in a blink of the eye). ive heard of people being mowed down at that point. I know of a sad story of a teenager on a motorbike who did the burn and died at the top. Many times ive seen people not stop when the lights there are red. just sayin'. To some drivers it looks like a flat race track. Catch up the time lost by dunstan lights.

woodie replied to cate's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
saw the police there with all attention on the cash point there which I use regularly, read this..cancelled card. thx -
The lorries are big that use those lights, you dont see them often when you do though, the irritating lights make more sense.

kid wanted a jam doughnut, so we stopped in at tescos station by horniman. I parked where i could see the car from within (it was raining, kid didnt want to leave car), ran in to tescos. Got the doughnut within seconds, was almost at front of the queue which was short. There seemed to be some confusion at the till, a new person on early days..A bunch of vans and cars drove rapidly into the station (blocked off my car) and it was a whole squad of black dressed bullet proof'd 'immigration border control' something like that, pro's. For a second I thought it was me they were after because the girl was alone in the car. I could see her so I was ready. They streamed past me took a couple of employees into the back , So now the poor new girl is running the petrol station . She served me I went back to the car noticing how like a movie it was, officers covering officers, hand signals, coordinating moves. As we were blocked in we sat in the car and munched away. Not much to report. I could see every exit was guarded. A few of them came out and started moving their unmarked vehicles around parking them so the station was less blocked up. The one that blocked me got moved. I was about to begin to turn on the engine when My little one began to demand apple juice. So, we went back, her with me this time. Rain had stopped. What officers I could see seemed less hyped now. So in we went. It was surreal. Bar one customer just about every person in there, plain clothes or not had hand cuffs swinging from their belts. About 15 people. Most of the cars waiting at the pumps had been theirs too. Heres the funny bit. The lady in front of me has clearly not realised whats happening. In a nasal toned 'well spoken' way she has begun berating the new girl who is looking mortified . "Look heeaar your management need to know the service here needs improving, ive been waiting at the pump for ten minutes now. Ive been banging on the window, theres another customer has been waiting for even longer". She was giving that girl hell. Even the officers are looking at her by now. Quite a performance. I was just next to angry lady ,so i put on my mr polite (interrupting twat) voice and softly said to her, "madam excuse me but there is some sort of a police raid going on here and the staff seem to be all in the back". Whooh she was mad when our eyes met. get this, She looks back at the girl and shouts "well even so!!" classic. We left so i dont know how it all ended up. All I can say is if youre unlucky enough to be descended upon by these guys, they are on you before you know it and the exits and exits of exits are blocked.
