yeah we noticed more than normal in our yard. Also cats on alert watching us watching the frogs.

whoa! thats sounding like them. they're hardy lookin things. i can see them buzzing round camels eyes , insistent annoying.

yes Hamlet, me too although not this year. thought they were flying ants too. this was in a pub garden, i wont say which it wss,i was bitten a lot. they seemed to just drop out of the sky on you right? plop bite! one landed on my sunglass lens and for a really short time my eye seemed to focus on it, a plump little abdomen it had. thats when i realised it wasnt a flying ant. I think we have them for a very short time each year. At about 8.30-9pm they go into attack mode, if they werent b4. Thats when i noticed they are now biting. The bites took ages to heal and got nastier for a while before quietening down. My neighbour got a reaction to them.

it does but fusion are not the greatest at running gyms. the downturn at the pulse when holmes place moved out had to be seen to be believed. plus fusion dont pay enough to get the decent instructers. shame, they run some good premsises.just not very well.

been fun for years.always loved that marquee where the oldies (mainly) do the trad dancing.

last night was driving up towards honor oak and saw 2 really young foxcubs pop out from under a fence and stand on the pavement, playing and getting very close to the road. They were so perfect looking and a really moving sight. Stopped the car and slowly walked over to them so theyd get back behind that fence. The tiny one had a face like a little arrow. Its so rare to see tiny ones, I believe they dont come out much till they about 3 years old. these where like, chicks. Fluffy. My friend took a phone pic, didnt come out that great.

there was a post here this morning, i skimmed I think its gone,warning of traffic chaos. I assumed it would be ok now down there but very much isnt 11.43am. The accident is horrific, i still feel ill from my journey to the bank.Stay away. A presumption of mine alone is that i think whoever was riding the bike they were mangled with may have thought the lorry was just one truck. it was 2 large containers. yet, it was turning (sure its allowed to) into that really small road by burger king /liddells, when the accident happened. Big vehicle to be going up that road.looked very fatal.

very very good show by david byrne/brian eno (tiny bit at end of eno) at rfh southbank just now. yeah burning down the house. loved it, got to meet david byrne too. I was stumbling back to wheever the car was..bumped into him.bonus! free ticket and all. one of those great nights out that dont happen much. even if it didnt have the energy of talking heads, like a theatrical rendition of... it was still great. lots of my life in bush of ghosts. hot ticket. total yay.

just one lil warning, if you have v small kids watch them on the seated devices. the ones for pecs and arm strength. the seat moves and kids who stand on them to reach the 'arms' will fall off as they bring the arm pieces down and the seat moves. then they bang the back of head on the front of the metal seat which produces..an egg ! on my girl it was a large one. Id looked away for 2 secs tending to my older one when, wham!

we have inherited the number of a previous dentist from around there.Man there is nothing weve been able to do except lose the number to shake em off. which we havent. there are surges as new databases are re sold and it all starts again. Responses have ranged from the polite to the bizarre. offers of string and door and a cassette tape in the background a while back. with screams. That was the winner in an online competition to 'find the best solution to the dentist calls'. Mind you the amount of spam calls dentists get is pretty awesome. as we know. Once ( I know its juvenile but.. there was so many) a suggestion of hypnosis instead of injections got quite a long way before the guy went 'hang on your winding me up here'. Once there was about 7 calls a day. Down to 3 a week now at most.

spose its almost meaningless or deep as hell which way you want to look at it. Went to the british museum today, all the mummies and what not. As you go round you pick up on stuff like, incredible feats of mummification( how could they test that? with time?) and art and science and tools and thinking that has year tag further back in time from 'birth of christ' than we are ahead the other side of it yet. by at least a 1000 years. we are bitchin about earth hour. world resources, end of oil..
