  1. uplands has lost it, management after management. some hope at the peckham rye caff in the park. oh NIGHT out. tried the rye hotel? The pubs dont quite get vege_ism. Another reason to wish for a japanese (noodles yum!) joint here. I dont think ED is ready for a full on quality vege restaraunt. i wish! Theres 'ganapatti' southern indian cooking, on holly grove se15. Thats pure vegtastic and very good. Im bleary, shouldnt be typing this early. Lets root em out. heh!
  2. aw come on, you cant have all those dogs in there. other day morning time there was about 6 bounding about whilst 3 people drank coffees outside. they even provide water bowls. unsusual huh? plus you can see clearly out those widows and tethereing poles.where else does that? its a park. thus dog surplus. No one wants the dogs inside except dog owners.betya.
  3. Ima thread killa. Fairlawns christmas performance was fun this year. The story made no sense. but it was fun anyway.
  4. modern day nativity, need a few minutes free to watch it tho.juicy! some grahpic scenes at beginning yeah? connection between religion, banking and politics. all in one.
  5. quieter in the morning! go 'out of kid hours', earlier/later.
  6. one of those slip lights..a traffic light with a turn right->at the corner of east dulwich road and peckham rye. bout it.
  7. I take back anything negative sounding in my previous post. place rocks. dogs? whats the issue there? not many food places would want your dog in there. If you tie the dog outside you can see them clearly through the large window.no problem. I had that almond coissant.I'll be regular 9.30 breakfaster in there. manageress v nice. trying to improve areas she sees not working so well. Some peoples dogs arent even theirs. pro dog walkers..you couldnt justify a bunch of dogs coming in, though im sure that wouldnt be what a pro dog walker would do. full marks, good luck to it.
  8. impressive! cept i ended up eating my lil ones sandwich because if its got salad on the side, game over. I was the only dulwich dad in there and not eating meat meant, it was a bit sparse on the menu for me. I left the inevitable 'please do homemade fish finger something and some sort of neato pizza thing' on the suggestion card. not bad prices tho, cakes looked yummy, almond coissant to die for, looked like. but as i ended up eating a meal more than i wanted to, was to full to try one. I remember peckham rye with 'under mi sleng teng' blaring out 82 and its quite incredible to think that this sort of comfy dullwich style enterprise is there nowadays. It being lunchtime i'd expect a lot of mums and babies in there. but thats all there was and it was packed. very friendly staff.my 2 meals were very tasty. lucky they didnt have veg sausage or what not or id have gone to town and had the huge tuna sandwich. Luke its a kid hole.a creche practically. no escape!
  9. could i be woodie played by woodie? you know how in the credits the little animal is always its own name. tarzans chimp being a case of this. ta

Its going to be a stunning night. A few places left. water rats is kings cross. I will see if i can do a thing whereby somebody says 'east dulwich forum' they get in cheaper. yep. pimping gigs is my game.

    a joke

circumstances of hearing this lil one was..i was at dinner with my new g/friend meeting her mum. my mum and dad by my side. we are telling some rather tame jokes when nu g/friend pipes up with.. q)if the white stork bird brings a baby, what bird brings no baby? a) a swallow. future mother in law spat out her food and ran to the loo laughed her face off. my mum was vexed and couldnt understand why my dad wouldnt explain what was funny. I was shocked,my g/friend had thought somehow there was something endearing and funny about the little swallow bird. when her mum bolted she for the first time got her own gag. have been p1ss1ng myself at this thread. just found it.

  14. my good friend in clapham has only been here one time. the 37 bus. thats the reason. chuggaa chugga wait wait. Too right they dont know where ed is.
  15. no
  16. i loved clapham. i was like the mayor of clapham. i knew so many people, party places, had a flat right by the railway moved there from peckham rye in 84. all the places like valencia place , wild gallery type events. acid house parties you name it clapham rocked on so many levels. then almost overnight, all those empty buildings were gone, wealthy kids felt safer in brixton as the gentrification began. i remember it was ecco pizza and la rueda brought the new faces in claphamwsise. the flipping dogstar opened the door to brixton. nother scene killa. I screamed and punched and kicked to not move away. east dulwich was like torture distance from passport control. but my girl wanted here. kid was right. clapham is now a cattle market and this place here is king. the people i am meeting now stun me with talent and outlook. my new friends are the greatest and i think my roots are too deep now to want for anywhere else. I mean i get more done here.totally creative from the moment i arrived. In clapham the door bell rang too much. the place seems so desperate now.seems like you have to try to have fun.most people i know are gone from there. I hardly ever even drive through the place.seems weird to say that. I worked in zeitgeist the original gift shop in old town. you dont get more central clapham than that.now, the soul of the place is dead. I remember djing with trapeze artists over my head and street parties we organised bunting and all.the wedding where the bride and groom arrived on the yellow scorpion tank, hanging off the turret with bottles of champagne. I just dont think that attitude works there anymore. no connection between the occupants of a street. Last night i was at the godawful beauberry house , standing next to the awesome conga player in the dancing room. made my day. i love that latin style. you dont find that in clapham any more. Im a few vodkas down.but you got me going on this. Foxtons invasion or not, this place rules.Andreas food stall fri sat northcross, the record store there the bread store, the horniman, (lordship lane meh!) the parks. the big windows, peckham, nothing like it was 82. much better. the herne, rye, bish, edt(meh!), loads of em. sure theres a few 'brigadier mums' about but you wanna hang in clap junction. squillions of em. less here. I got home scorching late last night, walked home from only 2 minutes away. Im very happy to be here. all about me innit. hope you can relate to it.
  17. east dulwich is full of great yoga sessions. why the clamour for there? paying double, plus probably a bunch of people who will do a few classes, hold things up then move to the next thing. this is usual in gyms. sure theres a hardcore but they often will be the kind of people that do a session somewhere else also during the week as well. because they are really into it rather than lightweights in a gym.my ten cents.
  18. could be a laugh. dont see 'future' in it tho.
  19. er i know this is about bread but shu.kurimu.sensei all those websites on your signature are very cool. I'm working with a young Japanese guy called 'Anchorsong'(bit like cornelius ..sort of) next monday at the water rats in kings cross. why dont you send me an email/pm and ill see if i can get you in.
  20. northcross foodstalls rule.
  21. black sabbath 1974 coventry . hey Cookie, i lived grimsby/cleethorpes. winter gardens and cleethopres beach and indoor funfair (remember that?) was..it. I think there was even a small zoo once. 64/73 i was there.
  22. so how does it work that people from fairlawns have signs outside from foxtons.com, that look exactly like for sales signs but have fairlawns integrated into the foxtons style graphic? although they are advertising xmas something or other you 'think' its more foxtons signs. like they are 'becoming part of the community' ie put a bit of moolah the schools way then stick your signs up with the 0% banner.
  23. usually somewhere just before lunchtime, the morning post.
