  1. I believe many of these products share the same 'odour' ingredient manufacturers.the same people that make the odours for bleach products burgers domestic cleaning products poilshes list is endless.
  2. coolio np. reckon jah Lush is yer man jguitarwatson yey
  3. books called 'the man who led zeppelin.'. truthfully,a guy overheard me saying led zeppelin to someoene in conversation on the overground. fella said 'are you something to do with led zeppelin?' funny that. course i said 'no!'. but he went on to give me the book. said someone had given to him! so er mlteenie,i could pass it on to you. tell me where to drop it off and I will. ha on to its next journey!
  4. mlteenie thats on my faves list. i love that so much. cheers jah lush but soon as it felt like a trudge i gave up.kids started up. ill believe you. think the guys cool anyhow. quite liked 'truth' i think its called. B's band after yardbirds.
  5. post a couple up? wouldnt know what to look for. Funny thing is jimmy page and beck were, are, very tight buddies. but theres a film up onn tube,of a reunion between them. clapton in there too. its billed as stairaawy to heaven (i know i know) page and beck play again together first time since yardbirds. no pont posting it but what you see is jimmy page completely in his own world playing an endless piece of crap solo and both clapton and beck being very patient waiting for thier chance to blow. ha page is oblivious and just doesnt stop. at one point beck looks at page..look says..'i solo now?' page blanks him and goes off again.its pretty funny.diabolical of course.
  6. agree. tho jeff beck went off to jazzrock hell dint he. Aonother good thing you tube has to offer is 60's films of soft machine with the young Robert wyatt, legs all working pre window. I just read that book about peter grant the zep manager. lots of jeff beck stories in there. great read actually, especially if youre interested in 60's london clubs. the gene vincent stories are killer.
  7. We allowed to slag each others taste then?hehe gr8! just to say Clapton , a great and everythang but check out mike bloomfield from 60's. also john mayall was the breeding ground for a few of the 'great uk blues'guys. this is sweet..john mayall mike bloomfield >> mike bloomfield. more..mike..with dylan clapton had to work at what was natural for others...peter green, for example. Im too young to know was into thunderbirds..but i have a friend who was always out in london at that time.speakeasy, ufo club alla that. tol d me about a night where clapton appeared to have not shown up for a gig at speakeasy. in those days pre coatcheck, you would throw your coat on to a big pile of other coats.rummage when yu leave. Seems claptons solo was fast coming up..john mayall, the coat mountain began to stir.there was your man slowhand rubbing his eyes, natch..picking up his axe right on cue. I love you tube.
  8. good beat/drums on that 1. Bux,very much less so.prolly more catchy the chorus tho. Its cheesewars between the 2. heres a fun band with cheese, beats and allsorts. Russia's amazing Messer Chups I chose a random vid. Plenty more in there. Besides, who can resist this? http://a456.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/83/l_3b426535514e57a57729ce90c25bb4a7.jpg ------------------------------------------------------- > Ear worm alert!!!! > > Having been dancing around the CPT to this and > screaming out the chorus with everyone at about > 3:30am on New Years Day, Mrs Keef and I have been > constantly humming it > > Timbaland ft. 9. ooh.n1 Im in. e eels
  10. possibly thats all it is. or its the beginning of something else more huge.
  11. yes its was quite awesome and will no doubt be repeated. you tube seems to have censored all the clips that were up. I did a wee search. http://www.audiomastermind.us/2005/12/03/alchemists-of-sound-1-hour-video/ The bit i was going to put up here, is where she demonstrates how to make a rythmn with a few tape recorders and tape loops. Its gobsmacking. She matter of factly just..does it as shes talking. yet its pure skill that only someone who does it daily can be so accurate with. Alchemists of Sound is the docu to watch. howdy Shu.
  12. whooh yuk. Anyone interested in that? might like this then> prolly be 'video unavailable' very soon
  13. I was thinking today about how gerry and sylvia Anderson are so well known for the imagery and marionettes of thunderbirds et all. There was a ting on about them on bbc4 this evening. Yet again nobody makes mention of how brilliant the soundtracks were.Sure theres some cheese in there but also some very cool experimentation, to really set the scene. A mr Barry Gray.Did it all. Much of this was pre synthesizer and is spine tingling at times. Without doubt the 60's dr who soundtracks where the best thing ever, such a miss hit with the modern day dr who's. check Delia in action, the lady who made that theme tune happen back in the day. oh, whatdoyaknow. video unavailable.. Delia Derbyshire. A hero. Ron Grainer wrote it, just the melody. She assembled the whole thing out of tape loops. Early doctor who's soundtrackwise, are works of art. Most bbc radiophonic wworkshop audio was. But, check captain scarlet also for great instremental moments of tension. Oh and the use of bongoes also. Thunderbirds bongoes are really funny. They really work. Totally ripped off in James bond movies, if you ask me.my 10p.
  14. same happened in our road. did some hamsters/guineapigz in as well. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We tried to keep chickens once and our dog ate > them all.
  15. money g5, jb 'there was a time', kent toast, fastest clapper, john martyn 'wee small hours'', lasse gjertsen 'amatuer'
  16. Discovered this forum late part of this year, visited some of the places mentioned. Even met up with "a East Dulwich forum bloke' for a beer. So its a fun thing for me. Wishing you all a happy new year and lotsa luck from houuuuse of Woodie.
  17. naah only joking. but there is..little events that come together and if its you in the right place at the right time.badda bing! so here is the small story of the magic bincolulars. My 5 years old feels ready for some binos and with xmas on the horizon, well closer actually I finally stepped out to go buy. had a great day actually, oysters at the zenoria warehouse joint, cool dude there, did most of my shopping in the place. But really i was still confused by my previous experience. See, I went to the hellhole that is argos on the rye lane. I couldnt face going through the catalogues and my friend had said 'youll get em in there' but as we didnt get out the herne till 6, just didnt make it yesterday. I was just about to get on a train to town when i spotted curry's a bit further down. Thought id pop in. Asked a young lady, a bright eyed large girl with quite honestly the worst 'promotional' t shirt ive ever seen. Sony panasonic, all the names on the one shirt. That in itself was odd. She says' yes we have binoculars' great! and there we are in front of a shelf load. Awesome. I pointed to a pair of quite pro looking black 'bushnells' 49.99 quid. There were cheaper ones but i always go by 'if I want them myself' standards. Not the 14 quid ones. I asked to have a go. Sure she said. I took the lens caps off and looked out the door. whoah! they were good! Im thinking well lets see what some of the others are like but i like these. I heard a voice say 'they are 7 p'. I kind of ignored it. I thought I swear thats my girl there just said that, I looked up at her and sge was saying "they are 7p". Feeling outrage i said what? to look through them is 7p? she said 'no' they are 7p.' I actually said 'am i awake?' She said 'yes'. In fact she also siad 'if you dont buy them im going to'. I now know Ive accidently eaten acid I didnt know I still have and am tripping my nuts off. Thats when she swung the flatscreen of the till so i could see for myself it did indeed say 0.07 pence. I have the magic binos and a printed reciept from curry's says 0.07 pence.. i said to the sparkly eyed black skinned 19 year old sweetheart, 'you actually are father christmas in disguise arent you!' felt like the oddest thing Id ever said to anyone .She laughed and said, there's a few items here we are not restocking and so we are selling them off cheap.i spotted these myself yesterday. Go Curry's people, there could be more! digi cmaeras are very well discounted in there. good ones..
  18. ah, blah blah blah. true, something like that would slay.
  19. word.

  21. no but thats generally whats in the shops , and convienient for catering. ever been to a factory farm loz? I have, dont like being reminded of it. So sausages/burgers meat look alikes are kinda dour. bob, I was lucky enough to go to a wedding one time where kastoori provided the food. Result! tooting is bit far though..
  22. ah Domali, we could use sumptin a little like that here. but better eh? New york has places like angelicas and souen. Shame we cant here, have that type of restaraunt. Glad yu brought up petitou. good joint (if you can get a seat) if you dont wanna eat cheese, london is a bit behind the times. As this thread is filling quick I think vegetarian is quite big in this area. good. totally agree on the roasted vegetables, pasta cheese thing.
  23. it was s mall ting but, somehow reigns supreme for me amongst some pretty hot events this year..I stood amazed at the window as my eldest (then just 5) swam a whole length of the training pool in crawl stroke at the beckenham spa. Although i'd been taking her to lessons everyweek, it was the first time I saw all the little skills come together and the kid swam.Like a dolphin. oh, btw theres a very good team in there. The tall lady miss Sarka (sharka!) is the best. Dads, try not to stare, shes kinda cute too. Beckenham has a veru good team in that spa and its reasonable prices for lessons.
  24. thought it said 'the alsation' of east dulwich. the ghost dog. (plus zombie owner wanting cofee and angry)
  25. just like to point out that Andreas food stall in northcross fri/sat has loads of awesome vege food. home cooked and fab. next to the bread store.
