  1. Yes! Yeeha! Childcare is still running after 10 years of providing families in ED the unrivalled home from home childcare. Our 2 children thrived after attending until they were 4 years old and loved every minute. Jess and her team are the kindest, most professional and joyful early years practitioners around. They take pride in their work, give the children so much love and ensure that their development is championed. We feel very grateful to have been able to give our two the very best start possible. Because of their time at Yeeha! our children have thrived at primary school and are kind, likeable, confident kids who love to learn and make friends easily. Jess and the team supported our entire family and we relied on them for advice on everything from weaning to which primary school to go for! Long live Yeeha! and all who sail in her... Get on their list though without delay because they are VERY popular. They're on Heber rd now. You can sign up via [email protected].
  2. I've not been able to find my satnav for ages and am wondering if it was stolen from the car without my knowledge. We live on Underhill so quite possible. Bloody annoying.
  3. Sorry to hear that. Very upsetting for the children I'm sure. Can I ask how they got in?
  4. Jesus, that's bloody scary that they were able to get in a double locked sash window. Is there nothing we can do to make ourselves safe? Feeling very nervous about going to bed now. I hate that our room is the floor above my son's. A friend suggested placing a baby monitor downstairs so you can hear if anyone comes in.
  5. Not a massively important post, so forgive me, but I'm hoping to collect some pine cones for a children's Christmas activity and couldn't find many at all in Peckham Rye park today. Anyone seen any about locally?
  6. No Dee Woffaz! Will get onto Howdens asap.
  7. I was putting the children in the car outside my house today (Friday) when I saw a man standing looking at my house. I asked if he could help and he very politely told me he worked for Howdens and that he was looking at the house because it looked empty and he wondered if it was being renovated. He said there were no curtains. I pointed out that there were clearly curtains on view and that it wasn't being renovated. He told him I had a Howdens account so didn't need one. He was very interested and asked me what I did. I told him I was a Childminder (I wanted him to know I was home in the day) and that I also dabbled in property developing. He could of course be perfectly legit. He was dressed smartly in a shirt and tie, was very polite and had a couple of Howdens flyers in his hand (though not a stack as you might expect someone leafleting to have). It just seemed an odd way for Howdens to drum up business and I'm just super-suspicious following on from all the burglaries in the area. What do people think? Kicking myself that I didn't take a picture of him but I was trying to get several children in the car at the time!
  8. Scary stuff. Chauveau, please tell us more - we live on Underhill. How did they get in?
  9. Thanks for the tip. He seems to poo ok though isn't brilliant at eating fruit and veg.
  10. Apologies in advance for the TMI post! My five year old boy regularly has a tiny bit of poo come out without him appearing to notice. He'll then realise and say he has a bit of poo in his pants but isn't really bothered. Trying to not make a big deal of it as I don't want to stress him out but can't figure out what to do about it. Been going on for a very long time now, despite potty training very quickly and easily. Tried saying if you think its just a fart, go sit on the loo but to no avail. Anyone else had this to deal with?
  11. Clare Holman (the pathologist in Lewis) told me off for not getting out the way quick enough when I was heavily pregnant and a bit clumsy with my trolley in Sainsbury's. She said it with a smile but I was a tad miffed!
  12. I'm keen. Been trying to get my 8 month old son onto a Saturday one and have had three false starts - one cancelled, and two without spaces after they said their would be. Getting most annoyed. Don't like taking my boy to Dulwich or Forest Hill though as the pools are not warm enough, even the junior pools.
  13. Ahh, what a shame, I'm away for Easter. Do let us know when you're doing it again.
  14. Thanks for the tip Birnehelene - I bought the stuff from Amazon and got great results on my shower. Not so great on the mould on my double glazed windows but will persevere. Bloomin' toxic though - made my face feel sore!
  15. Hi, My partner and I are childminders on Peckham Rye and have availability Fridays. PM me if you are still interested and we'll have you over to meet us/see our place. Regards.
