  1. Another recommendation for Steve. We contacted him as the bulb in our NEFF oven sheared off in our hands as we tried to change it! He advised me what part I needed to order directly from NEFF and then came and fitted it when it was delivered. He also gave me some very useful advice about what products to use/not use in our dishwasher, plus gave me some advice about our washing machine. I'd highly recommend him, as he is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, plus his rates are very reasonable.
  2. The Bubbly Bees website shows 3 classes taking place on a Thursday at the Greendale hut. Anyone know if each class is for a specific age group?
  3. Hay market Hotel did a brilliant afternoon tea and was very reasonable.
  4. Hi Not strictly East Dulwich (sorry!!) but does anyone know if the car boot sale that used to be held every second Sunday of the month in the car park near the Lido is taking place this Sunday? We got some fab children's books at the sale last time & want to go back this Sunday, if it's on! Thanks in advance for any info. Sarah
  5. We've had Harradines pack and move us twice and would highly recommend them.

  7. In case you missed the May NCT Nearly New Sale in Dulwich, the NCT will be holding a nearly new sale on Saturday, 29 June between 11am and 1pm at The St Laurence Centre, 37 Bromley Road, Catford, SE6 2TS. NCT members will be admitted at 10.45am with their membership cards. Entry is ?1. We've had an excellent response from our sellers and there will be a great selection of clothes, toys, books and other equipment available on the day.
  8. I'd love it if it was Ottolenghi, they do the most divine salads and cakes. :) EDmummy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > PSJ Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Could it be a new branch of Ottolenghi? > > All my dreams coming true! Seriously though, what > do we think its going to be?
  9. I'm really disappointed with Le Chandelier, after going there for many many years for brunch and tea and cake we went to go in with our pram and were immediately told that they were fully booked and couldn't accomodate us. As we left, other people arrived and were seated immediately. Why is it for years they are happy to accept our money and as soon as we try and go in with (a sleeping) baby in a pram we are refused? Out of principle we won't be going there again, but wish we hadn't spent so much in there over the years. On a more positive note, we ended up in the Blue Brick Cafe, great coffee and amazing carrot cake and most welcoming to families even though it was packed and not the largest cafe in East Dulwich.
  10. Thassos is gorgeous, probably the best island I've been too, quiet, unspoilt, beautiful scenery and lovely sandy beaches.
  11. Does anyone have any feedback/insights into Little Fingerprints Nursery (formerly Bojangles) in Forest Hill or Piplings (the one near the Horniman). Please PM me. Thanks.
  12. Hello All Sorry I've missed the last few meet up's and for the radio silence. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go to plan with the arrival of our little one! We found at 39 weeks & 5 days that she was extended breech and was booked in for a planned c-section on Monday (8th). Unfortunately due to theatre being too busy with emergency sections, we were 'bumped' until Wednesday (10th) when our daughter, Molly Rose was born. We then had to spend five days in hospital as she developed jaundice and needed photo-therapy and had a mild infection and needed IV anti-biotics. We're home now and enjoying life as a little family. We hope to make one of the meet up's on a Monday or a Friday in due course. Congratulations to those that have recently had their babies and good luck to those that are still to 'pop'. Sarah x
  13. Sorry Kate & Becky I can't make this Monday. Hopefully catch up with you both again soon. Jane - Congratulations on the birth of Jackie Finn. Fingers crossed he's soon discharged from hospital. Sarah x
  14. Really lovely to meet you - Becky, Nat and Kate and of course the gorgeous (and well behaved) Jude and Charlie this morning. Look forward to catching up again soon. Sarah :)
