  1. I agree with most of these posts, this could be good for all of us. It's not like the coop is going to become 'rave' central as a destination. Sounds like a good idea.
  2. Thank you mynamehere, I will write as I also have been made aware of this slaying of long standing three female staff members today. I couldn't quite work out why everything was such a shambles, so asked the question. This new(ish) manager has got rid of three competent, efficient and friendly staff members, so that he can keep his own job. I think this is wrong as he has said those staff members are too 'community minded'. They are focused on sales, sales, sales, which I understand is required to a degree, but when so much has been spent by the council on this property, Fusion need to find a balance. I raise my hat to the staff at Fusion as a busy leisure centre, but 'community minded' is a good thing, not something that should be erased. The manager needs to know that despite this being a centre in London, we are all very 'community minded'.
  3. The place seems to have gone to rack and ruin over the last few months, shame, such a brilliant property, huge potential and a great asset to the community.
  4. I agree with fatfightersforever, the staff all seem really helpful and nice. This recent manager never makes an appearance and all the staff seem to pick up all the problems a manager should. One of the gym staff told me the manager was trying to save his own job so he'd been set targets to save his own job. In the meantime, they are all under pressure. I feel for each of the staff, though this manager seems a tyrannical horror.
  5. A real shame what is happening at Fusion, I'm told that there is a newish manager there that is just making the lives of all the staff a misery and so no happy staff, no happy customers. Such a shame as there is such potential for this to be a great community offering(for a fee), a great site and good gym in my humble opinion. I have asked for the manager on a couple of occasions now to give some feedback and I'm always advised he's tied up or not in there at that time. The staff are obviously not allowed to say anything, but you can tell from everyone there that they are tired of trying to cover for him. Can't see improvement till this one goes. If anyone finds out he does go, let us all know! Good luck to the staff there too, been in that situation and it's painful.

Short term vision sometimes leads to long term degeneration of an area. A great area that could be run down as retailers are scared away... Shame.

The children never seem to be controlled by the parents and seem to use the cafe/reception area as somewhere to let their kids run riot! If I worked there with all the children running around and screaming, I would have to be blunt! Creche not enough? Consider the other side of the coin. It's not just the reception staff. I for one think the noise the children make (as well as disruption with the scooters) is excessive.
  9. Well done Renata!! Thanks for all your time spent on this ! :)-D
  10. Another recommendation for Andy, Richard and Taylor who have worked so hard to decorate a very tired old room that was in great need of decoration. Great work, good people and really helpful. Will be using them again soon if they could possibly put up with it !! Thank you Gentlemen............
  11. Agree, a disgrace! Spending money on congesting the roads even further......They say it's all in the name of safety!! It will just mean more frustration, then others driving like lunatics to get round the busses. Such is Southwark council.
  12. can't hear with these earplugs.... what did you say?? >:D
  13. Ha ha.... No s**t Sherlock !! :)-D
  14. Just a thought, but have you considered the impact this action would have on an already poor UK economy, the prices you may want to pay for your holiday, the fact that so many people come into and out of the UK for business meetings, that allow the UK to compete in a global market? The fact that most of the early arrivals are bringing in business people from the USA and the Asia markets to provide income into the empty coffers of the country.... The deafening silence of the close of airspace that volcanic ash brought upon us had the potential to bring the world economy to the ground. Consider the facts before a few hours undisturbed sleep. Perhaps consider the earplugs if it really wakes you up? :))
  15. Several people have the correct firemans key....Not sure which one though.
  16. Use up the end of year budget, no real reason for a new road plan, use it or lose it is the theory on all budgets... so another waste of public money for something to make most people unhappy and frustrated. If they have any spare change from the budget, no doubt they will join up the raised areas with speed bumps!
  17. So nice of you Kamila....... So horrible to hear a dog abandoned/lost/stolen.
  18. Just been to the gym and mentioned this to the receptionist, who was very helpful. By the time I was leaving, they had done a chlorine check and invited me to look at how clear the pool was........ it was crystal clear! so, have to say, they were very efficient, friendly and open to checking. Ten out of ten for service. The duty Manager also came out to clarify too, explaining what the chlorine levels were and what was required. Have to say thanks to Karen and Kate.....
