That is all they seem to do, use the seats to eat, smoke and drink in. Strange.

I agree.. Selfies - self indulgent. Ice bucket challenge - self indulgent. I see people singing their own praises all day, every day now. Then all the expected replies, lol, lol. Is there just a constant need for a pat on the back? Sorry, this is all about the individual, not the charity, or more importantly the cause.

My sister I'd the same and back in 2 1/2! Fab time to get your passport renewed!

Yes, all a bit strange. Basic search says company set up this year as Clothes for Causes Eltham Ltd. can't find any further info on them. Don't they have to have a registered charity number? Strange. Not been in there and not my sort of place.

She is rarely there, loves publicity More than spending time with patients, is more about herself than listening to them. Believe me, this woman is not for caring. She is the Doctor of an elderly relative and it is like getting an audience with the Queen.

The Housing Market in East Dulwich is finally slowing...?
speedbird replied to Mick Mac's topic in The Lounge
I think you're right Mic Mac, though unsure whether it's because houses are coming back on the market after the panic buying over the last six months. Seems like several houses have an offer made, drags on for a couple of months, then back on. I know since I'm looking for a small house for my Mum and it has been difficult. Fingers crossed, now I'll find her something! -
I agree dollywitch! I don't live on the estate next to Sainsburys, but visit a friend there on my way back from shopping. It is growing in size and looking much more like a travellers site. I don't know what happens here, but would say find out the options from the council. In answer to Titch Juicy's question.... I found it quite intimidating and wouldn't now take that route as I normally do. Though I'm guessing you don't live there or use that route?

what's the most outrageous kid's name you've ever heard
speedbird replied to Ladysaw's topic in The Lounge
Kate Winslet's new child...Bear -
I agree, they are completely unfriendly, lacking in customer service and have been since they were there. Hence, don't use them (I realise you had no choice). I also heard it was closing down soon and the College will be renting out the property....

Anywhere on LL or nearby that sells oil diffusers?
speedbird replied to Alan Medic's topic in The Lounge
Dulwich health matters on LL sells them I'm pretty sure. Last time I went in for oils, I was telling them about a Muji oil diffuser that I had bought and they had one pretty similar. You can either get the ones that require candle/heat to diffuse or the new ones that plug in and a vibrating plate mixes the oil with water. Hope you find one! -

There are 634 runways the aircraft could have landed on given the size required for a 777 landing (1.52km). That is spread across 12 countries. What I don't understand is why the Captain signed off on enough fuel at the start of the journey for a further hour and a half on top of the intended journey length. Why wasn't this questioned? There are always factors that would make them make that decision, usually weather, head winds etc but from what I've read, there wasn't any adverse weather enroute. A mystery....

Agree Loz, the sequence was that the ACARS was switched off, then the co-pilot verbally signed off with Malaysia, then a short time after this the transponder was switched off. All seems well planned, though what has happened to the poor passengers we can only imagine their fear.

See following link, maybe worth moving out of the 21st century rather than ED: www.vimeo.com/88093956 A beautiful film anyway..... Edited link
