  1. I tried that, and nothing on the leg, although on the face you could see the reaction in the shape of the milk drip on the face, neck etc..not just around the mouth... strange! maybe the skin on the face is more sensitive?! but she is definitely hungry and she would finish the bottle if I let her!
  2. To Ruth, I am kind of drained, she is feeding non stop and through the night too, and I have a 3 year old this time, so ca not take it anymore!!! a bit selfish but I just want my life back ,,, sleep, freedom, and a glass of wine
  3. I was told that too, but I am using the Avent bottle (the bpa free ones etc..and I understand that is silicone?? r is it not?
  4. Hi, Another odity this week: did anyone get this? my 4 month old had her first bottle on Wednesday, but all the area that was in contact with the milk (around the mouth, a drip on the neck and the face) became red and swollen...it went away a couple of hours later, but no body is giving a firm and confident advice, some are saying just don't give it to her again, HV said talk to GP, GP said try a different and if she gets too swollen run to A&E or come back to get referred, in the meantime, she is demanding feedings non stop and seems like my milk is no longer enough for her! anyone came accross this and what did you end up doing please! Thanks in advance
  5. No worries about the 2 parts buggy, I traveled with a travel cot and chassis and they took them, then with buggy and buggy board they took them too. but I experienced BA with 2 kids it was a much better experience, you just enjoy the flight and the airport etc. However, just flew Ryan air again with 2 kids and some airports have their own policies of boarding kids first, doesn't happen in Stansted though. it will be manageable anyway, it's not too bad.
  6. Yes, as Fuschia said, it seems that it's not a simple process, but I am giving the nursery a chance to fix what they did, they have promised to do what they can and call the council
  7. ok, I will read what you sent, I don't understand the mechanism myself, and I am sure the nursery did something wrong. I am so grateful for all the help!
  8. she was absent 4 weeks from mid may till the 10th of june, I appreciate it's long but she was so sickly and I thought a long holiday in the sun will do us all good...was obviously very wrong!
  9. I am under Lambeth, but they assured me they made the claim for my funding, but that given the child was away during the term it automaticallt stopped her from being eligible. it's completely new to me and they are saying lambeth is a tough borough in this respect. it's just ridiculous, she is not in school yet so missing a couple of weeks is not a problem!
  10. thank you very much I will try my best to sort it out
  11. I had asked for a reduction in the sessions, I guess they took her off by mistake, as they are now apologetic and offering a month free but I just can't get how they cannot fix this...surely there must be a way to appeal or something of this kind!
  12. my older one is 3 and 4 months, apparently she wasnt at nursery when headcount took place so i lost the 15hours funding. I am not sure why and how people can take their young kids on holiday if that's the case!
  13. I took my daughters away for a break before I go back to work, I came back and the nursery - who I talked about it beforehand- told me they had no idea that I would lose the funding but I just did!!!! I am so shocked they didn't know but most of all, gutted I lost hundreds and hundreds of pounds...any advice on how it works would be appreciated, I can't understand the logic and don't see much on the net regarding this. thank you
  14. hum...not sure Anu is a great doc, I remember her asking me if the pregnancy was planned when i was in tears as my few weeks old had an infection, and looked like she was reading from a script!!! She has been on gmtv few times already in the last couple of years, I agree she is very presentable. Dr Cunningham is brilliant though.
