Unfortunately I didn't go, but I encountered the leaving crowds on my way home. They were very, very happy indeed. I enjoyed seeing all the pink and blue hats, scarves, and gloves out on display on this wintry day.

And your post reminded me of this fine tune. Anyway, I think our local bus drivers deserve a positive shout out. I never cease to be touched when bus drivers spot and wait for that passenger risking life and limb as if in a life and death situation for THAT bus. I am also greatly moved at how the bus driver's humanness (?) manifests itself when a struggling elderly passenger or other vulnerable person wants to get off/on the bus. I am in awe of their seemingly never-ending patience as they monitor stressed out parents competing for and negotiating the limited wheelchair/buggy space. Most of all, I am utterly amazed at how many of them still manage to smile when I board their bus despite a lot of crap from some of the public. I am really grateful to them, and they have saved my bacon on many an occasion. So here's to our local bus drivers!

I was wondering what it was that seemed familiar...I couldn't figure it out! And I'd love a pair of those cerise socks! :))

Unfortunately, DH didn't beat their archrival Bognor this time around. Roll on February... :))

Recommending Plumber - Hunter Heating Solutions
Laddy Muck replied to HunterHtingSolutions's topic in Reviews
Logging in especially to praise Billy and Scott of Hunter Heating Solutions. Had Billy and Scott round today to replace/relocate our boiler, redirect existing/lay extra pipework, remove existing flue outlet and provide a new one to a different house wall. An excellent job efficiently, tidily, and cheerily done. Thanks a lot guys - you worked long and hard so as to ensure that the job didn't overspill into the next day, which I appreciate very much. I shall be in touch with respect to the annual service and other optional bits. Thank you again. (tu) -

Bloomin heck... As far as I know, most stewards (if not all) were indeed volunteers and were offered free training - I know I was. I feel quite sad for the stewards who have been affected as, at least one of them, had been volunteering for quite a while. I wonder how they are feeling :(

Doc, if you are a member of "Which?" they have only just (this month) issued their best buys for shredders. Log on for full details. Otherwise, briefly, they are the: Fellowes 11C: The Fellowes Powershred 11C is a very good all-rounder and a worthy Which? Best Buy. It has a spacious waste bin, takes 14 sheets at a time and is plenty secure enough. In fact, we can't think of too many negatives to speak of. ProAction 12 Sheet 18 Litre: We really like the ProAction 12 Sheet 18 Litre. It's secure, spacious and won't be an eyesore in your home office. We wish it was a little quieter, but there are plenty of good reasons why this is a Best Buy shredder. Both apparently cost less than ?60.

Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ...maybe you could change your original subject heading Laddy Muck so the date is right? The protest rally on the 2nd is not the same as the march which was to take place on the 9th (details of the latter have since disappeared). Yes, I can see how the title, as it stands, may cause confusion and/or frustration...so will amend. Thanks Sue.

You are right, Loz. Any clues as to why that might be? Last time I looked over 10,000 people had said they would attend. :-S

I cannot now find it anywhere and it has also disappeared from my Facebook page. Also there is no sign of it on my "activity log". What the fekk!? I'm wondering whether the invites have been intercepted too. I'm not happy about this at all. Could FB have taken it down? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? (6)

I've already sent over 400 invites on Facebook...and I'm mentioning it here too. However, I'm unable to post the link on here - so if anyone, who wants to, can, I'd be grateful. Thanks. If you aren't interested in this - fair enough, but should you want to engage with me in that regard please note that I shall not be participating. I just want to alert those who may be interested in this mass demonstration. I hope you are OK with this - Admin.
