  1. My son has just finished Goodrich. He had a really nice time. Good atmosphere. Headmaster very good. I'd really recommend it.

I believe the Americans now refer to their non gender specific postal operatives as 'Letter Carriers'. Which sounds shit.
  3. (3) Is Collection of undelivered mail from Peckham an acceptable substitute for collection from Sylvester Road? Here it is clear that the location, lack of parking and long queues already being experienced suggest that an alternative collection point more local to SE22 is an immediate requirement. It is this issue which most effects people and where it is unlikely that time will prove any remedy. This is the area where ED people have and will continue to suffer a significant degradation of service. It is here that effort (assuming the issue at (2) is resolved) should be focused. Exactly. I wonder if either the Lordship Lane or FH Road PO's have enough storage capacity?
  4. Just tried to collect a parcel from Highshore. Absolute joke. The queue snaked out almost to the street. People half way down the queue were talking about a 45 minute wait. Cars driving up and down the road as nowhere to park. I abandoned it. Royal Mail have massively underestimated this. I'm furious about it. Nothing but greed from Royal Mail. I'll be writing to the MP and Harriet Harman.
  5. Has Sylvester Rd completely closed? We had a red slip yesterday saying collect from there not Highshore. It's a bloody shambles. All because of the ?7m they got as a property deal. Improving logistics excuse obviously bollocks.
  6. This is really scary.
  7. A bit of police presence wouldn't go amiss.
  8. Very good. I might do the same.
  9. It's a drag. I've never felt vulnerable before. But now I'm quite nervous riding my Brompton. I keep my good road bike strictly for weekend rides out to the sticks.
  10. Yes. I was on the Q1.. Near the Hartley factory. In February.
  11. horrible. I had my Brompton stolen in a similat pincer movement earlier in the year which now makes me generally nervous of youths on bikes. I use the canal path but may avoid now.

  13. Are those Ofo bikes exclusively for the use of criminals?
  14. It's not off the beaten track for people that live there. Currently no pub between The Plough and Forest Hill.
  15. Definitely a need in that area for somewhere to buy a pint.
  16. The grass never quite recovered despite promises to put it right. It still looks like a mess.
  17. Had my first experience of Highshore Road (I needed to return an Amazon parcel and Sylvester Road haven't been given the equipment). I think we've been really shafted by this closure. Highshore Road is open the same times and only has one window. There are bound to be big queues at peak times. There's no parking either. I'm sad that we've lost our police station and now this. Both very important for the local community.
  18. I'm no surveyor, but I think cracks on the outside are bad. I doubt there are any old houses in the area that don't have 'seasonal movement'. Our house is quite wonky and we get hairline cracks in the plaster. I called our building insurers once and the advice was if the cracks are vertical and inside it's probably ok. Horizontal and outside more likely to be more serious.
  19. We have a similar problem. The ultrasonic deterrents seem to work (with the odd Nerf super soaker). I've had to spend ?70 on stuff to stop other people's animals crapping in my garden which really annoys me.
  20. There's one in Peckham library.
  21. I can't see it being feasible. Looking at the space Brockwell lido takes up it would be tiny.
  22. Sounds similar to the miscreants reported in another thread targeting the Ivy House.
  23. I think it's horrible. The old Post Office was really nice.
  24. If you got the plate definitely report to the police. Horrible.
