Apologies for the idiot one that was unfair. Stand by narrow-minded and backward. I didn't call you a bully and a coward, I said if you did what they did that is what I call you. To re-engage debate; Do you really think that assaulting members of the public is a sensible method for sorting out public order issues? Do you think that the training at Hendon (I think it is there) should be "give em a couple of digs and hopefully that will quell the situation and restore order" Do you not think that the police should arrest them and let rule of law prevail. It could be the person has mental health problems and require genuine help. It may be they are a repeat offender and require jail time. There are any number of potential outcomes which can't be decided by a police officer dispatching violence with no potential comeback. This is only an issue because people have mobile phones with camera's on these days. EDIT to say; I mean this is only in the media because of the camera phone, it would be an issue whether there was evidence against the police or not

If you confront a bully by surrounding him with three of your mates, using a high-voltage electric gun on him and punching him four times whilst he is clearly incapacitated then I would call you a bully and a coward.
-
If you don't like bully's then why are you suggesting that Police Officers act in a bullying manner. I don't know how many police there are in the UK - I am guessing it is over 100,000. Do you not think that when people witness this behaviour they will in turn think it is acceptable. For old school I would substitute narrow minded and backward. I think you have jumped in saying something without thinking about it at all, and if you stopped to consider what you were saying then you would realise your argument is fundamentally flawed.

And everyone knows the best solution for bullying is to bully people.

I agree they do a difficult job but the accusation is that he was punched in the face on the floor, after being tasered he was then punched in the face four times. Crazy overuse of force that should be addressed by an inqury. "A Bit of a dig" is not a solution to the issue. Probably should have been shot in your opinion I guess. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/107742/Captured-on-camera-Man-repeatedly-tasered-by-police

police cordon tape seen on Barry Road
paragon replied to sweetgirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I lived on Barry Road for 18 months with my Girlfriend. The worst that ever happened was a bit of music on a Saturday night. -
It would be interesting to see some real life EDF debating. I think down the pub I can hold my own on most subjects but on here there are always people who will pull out "facts" or "statistics" or "truth" which wrecks my general rule of if you say it twice as loud you are likely to win the argument. Would be interesting to see who spend 30 mins on google before retorts and who is generally knowledgeable.

I am confused. I have seen some of the reviews before. But this one is satire on that game never being made isn't it?
-
I believe it is being released on the first of never, and the review is fake.

I left early. I was bored and annoyed to waste 66 squid to see our season unfold without a fight at all. I applaud the players by buying my ticket and if I want to leave early I will.

Is it ok to lie about your salary in an interview?
paragon replied to LegalEagle-ish's topic in The Lounge
It is a play-off - tell a lie and get a lot more money with very small risk. Don't tell a lie and be offered a lot less money with no risk. No-one could sack you for verbally giving a figure of what your salary was in interview. I wouldn't lie on a form if you could avoid it but if I was you I would looking on jobserve and see what was resonable for the experience you have an say that was your salary. -
Everyone has weaknesses including the person who is interviewing you. The worst answer is "i am a perfectionist" it is such a cliche and anyone who interviews often will have heard it time and time again. It ranks up there with getting a degree as your greatest success. The most important thing when being interviewed is that the person can relate to you and can imagine working with you. If they like you and dislike a slightly more qualified candidate in many situations you will get the nod. I think "getting frustrated with others for lack of ability" can come across as smug and self-important in interviews. I would say; "I think a weakness of mine would be that I am too willing to take on work which falls outside of my recognised job description. Generally I am doing this to either develop or help out a colleague but occasionally it impacts my ability to deliver in my core role. I have improved vastly during my last job but I still have progress to be made" The above shows; willingness to take on new tasks and do jobs that fall outside the 9-5 (which is important as an EA), humility by not giving a crap answer that makes you seem perfect and could make the interviewer relate to you as many people have been in that situation. Depends on who is interviewing you - if it is an office manager, a Senior EA, or the person you will be working for there should be slightly different approaches to each interview.

Poor show from me last week. Two of my fifteen didn't play. Need to follow it more closely this week.

Hit 'em up - 2pac.

My old man played against Holland once. Not for England though - for his RAF team. Holland aren't the best.

Done. And I'll be at Twickers on Saturday to see my boys in action! Happy Days.

Sorry for being dull but what is the benefit to this bot - or this bot's owner/distributor of posting 50 times on the EDF?

I found 20 squid on the floor in Abbey near Liverpool Street last year and handed it in. To be honest I would have had it away if it wasn't for my fear of CCTV
