No way would I use BOBFOC to describe SJP. Agreed a roman nose and haggard face would suit Crimewatch but her body wouldn't grace the famous red suit unless it was a one-off special featuring a lifeguard with eating disorders.

Anyone a patient at the Royal Free?

I'm sorry but bankers pay has hit the headlines again recently in a major way. I think it would be even more loud if an institution which has always been paid for by the public suddenly starting paying multi million pound rates to consultants. Much like the GP's that made a fortune up north or the copper who has topped 100k -
Generally people are cowards. Mrs Paragon comes home often talking of people who have been rude, barged her out the way, cut-her up, pushed her out of the way on the tube etc etc. This kind of things never happens to me, by she is 5"1 Hard to give a definitive answer as there is so many more factors involved.

Which is the model that a lot of BPO consultancies companies work on. However those contracts take a long time to agree and there is considerable workloads around governence, validation of savings etc etc. Imagine the outcry if the consultant saved ?100m and was given 20% of that. The headlines would be ridiculous. -

It is very simple to say, you can't be that broke if you can afford ?1000 a day on consultant. Ultimately you need to invest money to improve processes and reduce costs, bringing in an expert with a mandate is one way to make step changes to how an organisation operates and cut through internal political issues. That kind of rate is common place and to attract any kind of quality the NHS needs to pay market rates. If the consultant has provided similar services to other organisations then the knowledge will be invaluable. With regard to 30%, you have to start somewhere and you have to have a benchmark to judge yourself against. Otherwise it will just be a case of lets pay you ?1000 a day and save where you can. All organisations have fat that can be trimmed, whether it is staff, stock, equipment, bad deals with suppliers etc. All he needs to do is save ?220,000 in the first year and he has paid for himself and those savings continue year on year. -
Suggest Charity shops, they normally have loads of old jackets in there. Obviously you would need to keep this info on the DL to avoid suspician.

Reminds me of a shop called "Aids for the Disabled" Believe there is a facebook group and Glenn Hoddle is the majority shareholder

When I got there the barriers were open and they were letting people through saying buy your tickets at your destination and all stations had been informed. That was about 9ish.

Blatant plug and lying afterwards. However - i have had a couple of good haircuts there. Nothing beats Shiroma in Bishopsgate Arcade though - neck massage included.

I have played there numerous times and there have been no issues, ever.

6am bin collections - Friern Road and surrounding area
paragon replied to Judy2's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Before I moved from Friern Road I had developed a reaction to the binmen that was positive. As i had been woken up by them I knew it was a Saturday and didn't need to go to work - so I would go back to sleep with a smile on my face. Some strange Pavlovesque reaction I think. -
There seems to be so much crap out there, the shelves of Waterstones are packed with reams of identikit novels and wading through to find something worth reading is a mission. I have also been reading older stuff, French enlightenment literature, which sounds wanky but is very funny, satirical and considering the climate when it was written, quite groundbreaking.

Whether or not this thread is a wind-up or not i didn't realise there was such a difference in opinion and this was outlawed. I am 25 with no kids and if I saw a parent smacking a kid in public I wouldn't think anything of it whatsoever. Is there a real stigma against it?

I used to live on Friern and was being driven around by my aunt who didn't know the area, she flew straight across the junction with Underhill/Barry without even stopping. I have never been more scared in my life, she didn't even see it till she was half-way across. Bad driving, but seems to be an recurring issue.

His kids will be minted. The amount of records that will be sold in the next two weeks will probably wipe all his debts out. Says on Wiki that he has shiz loads of unreleased stuff still to come out.

The Bucket List. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Very sh1te. Sentimental crapolla. Probs good if you have a terminal illness. Can't believe it has an higher IMDB rating that Starship Troopers, which is an awesome film. Apparently it is supposed to be satirising American Imperialism but the just thought it KICKED ASS MAN. Anyone else love Starship Troopers?

I walk down there a lot and the only thing that concerns me a bit is the sheer volume of meat behind the counters and the fact that most of them seem to be empty. I wonder how long it stays there. I would love to shop there confidentally but I guess it is just so far removed from where I have ever shopped before that there is a degree of concern. Also it is the fish that smells the worst, but no worse than some areas of Borough Market. Resolution for June: Buy meat on Rye Lane (and not from the new tesco's opening at the top!)

I'm suprised a few digs didn't sort the situation out.

Scammed on Lordship Lane - not sure?

could it not be some cleverly applied make-up? the like they use in such films as rob roy or braveheart? -

I bet the Police are seriously > provoked time and again by people they try to nick > and by and large they don't bite. I agree that they are provoked time and time again, and they are paid and trained to not bite. I agree that it must be a difficult job, especially in the big cities. If there had been one copper on his own, scared with a mob growing around him then the action would have been more understanderble. The question is, were the measures they choose to use appropriate for this situation. I think they were heavy handed and over zealous and should be called to account if they have broken the law. You think that police should be able to assault members of the public whilst they are on the floor with four people stood over them. It would seem your view is that violence is an appropriate tool to sort issues out, which thankfully is not a widely method in this country for delivering justice.
