  1. Next purchase shoud be the Orange Box or BioShock???
  2. Come on Guys - lets give *Bob* a break. He was probably weaned on Love thy Neighbour after all.
  3. embarrasing laughing at desk moment served up by daily mash. tata (tcs) are big in IT - they do a lot of offshoring work for the bank i work for.
  4. I saw the mightly Hamlet smite the lacklustre Ashford Town on the weekend. Was a cold, dark and wet affair but there is something about local football. Also if you read the review http://www.dulwichhamletfc.co.uk/news-story.php?ID=174 it sounds like some sort of dickensian epic. Fair play for being able to think it up. It cost exactly seven quid.
  5. For anyone who is interested Fisher Athletic were hammered by Newport County 3-1. Good game, loads of away fans which was quite impressive. A fair amount of chasing the ball and over-crowded area's of the pitch - but all good. No change from a fiver for two pints. (Mockney - you drink bitter i guess) Looking forward to seeing the hamlet play in the coming weeks.
  6. This will make your blood boil more. When you go into the corporate bit they have huge tables filled we pre-poured lager and wine etc. Did my best to make the most if (2 pints - not bad in 15 mins) but as we left at least half of it was sat there untouched and I assume it was just thrown away.
  7. Um...A friend had a spare ticket. They may have been corporate, unless they give free beer everywhere in the Emirates!!!
  8. Well I went to the Emirates on Tuesday for free......
  9. So being new to the area I thought I would check out the Hamlet playing this weekend - alas they are away somewhere in Kent and don't fancy the trek. I hear that Kingfisher ground share with Dulwich and are playing this weekend against Newport county. Does anyone go regularily to the games? Is it any good? Advice much appreciated.
  10. I think it will remain the way it is - when I went to school (private) we played rugby and football. We also played against private and state schools. When we played Rugby against the local state school all they wanted to do was fight us and call us gay and we always soundly beat them. When we played Football all we did was try to foul them and call them poor and they soundly beat us. It's only when you go to Uni that this segregation disappears - by then you have missed the chance to play prof sport. (Unless you are Nick Easter or Ian Wright) Think it all balances out in the end.
  11. AMAZING!! - First visit to the Emirates and although it felt like going to the theatre a bit rather than to a football match it was fantastic. Great set-up, great view, great football. Sixth goal was probably the best I have seen live. Not an Arsenal fan but you couldn't help but go mental when they scored.
