Watched Atonement last night. Thought is was good. Can't get over how annoying Keira K is and not sure how well cast James McAvoy was (although think he is normally good). Some of it I thought was a bit cringey but on the whole thought that the supporting cast were excellent and some young stars will be made. Wish I had read the book first as comparison but sure I wouldn't have liked it as much if I had.

Slightly off-topic but I read Allen Carr's book and then quit smoking 10 days ago. So far so good we shall see but I feel very positive about it and would recommend the book to anyone.

I don't think there is any other option than to go Democrat. The tide was turning during Dubya's re-election but hadn't turned enough (arguably it had turned enough but the result didn't mirror that) For me it doesn't matter which democrat is elected but who they surround themselves with. HC will surround herself with the same people Billy boy did whereas Bazzer Obama, with limited history + favours oved etc, will be able to take more of an objective view and hopefully surround himself with a genuinelly centre left group of advisors. With zero foreign policy experience he is still in a better position to soften America's approach. Bet he gets in and makes an Axis of evil speech within 2 months.

Went to Dulwich Hamlet on the weekend and wanted to big-up how helpful they were. There were 12 of us and we played a game of 6-a-side on their pitches behind the ground then into watch the match after. Total cost per person was ?6 for both events. (they did us a deal) excellent day and good to see the Hamlet come from 1-0 down to win.

played HL to death on the PC back in the day. I thought BioShock was supposed to be groundbreaking - oh well. Sean - don't have much to offer by way of trade - PGR3 (or 4 not sure), Table Tennis (good with the missus - as only 1 button (definately not an ironic comment), Perfect Dark Zero and obviously Halo 3. I need to invest more. Nothing has beaten Deus Ex for me.
