  1. I'm not around the 19th (or two following weekends), so am tempted to suggest we meet this weekend with more people meeting up in future. Sunday (12th) about 11? Maybe le Chandelier? Anna
  2. Well, I think someone should get the ball rolling. What kinds of day/time is most suitable for people? I am around evenings and weekends and happy to meet up in ED (Lordship Lane?) after work or for a coffee one Saturday or Sunday. I'm clear this coming weekend if it's not too short notice??? Anna
  3. Me! Hello. I'm due at the end of May so feeling quite far behind the ladies in the March/April/May board. Looking forward to seeing more local mums and mums to be on this board.
  4. Another recommendation for Richard. He painted my timber window frames after having new double glazing. Very accommodating and friendly and did a great job!
  5. Thank you, I'm pleased abou that. So impatient...
  6. I'm tentatively joining you. Have got my scan at Kings tomorrow. Can anyone tell me, do you receive results of the blood tests (for downs) during the scan or do you have to wait a few days for the results? Thanks
  7. That's soooo helpful. Thank you.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions. I think she (secretly) has her heart set on Wicked. Other people have suggestions bowling/karaoke at All Star Lanes - does anyone have any experience of this place?
  9. I am charged with the task of organising my little sister's hen do next March. She doesn't live in London but has requested a London-based weekend. Friday night will be a lowish-key meal with some of her London based friends. Saturday is the main day, I am thinking of organising a theatre matinee but am a bit stuck for evening entertainment. I know she won't like the raucous hen-night affair, but I would like to find a venue/venues that can offer nice food, drinks and atmosphere. Not too expensive as I know some of her friends have very limited funds, but decent. I will consider anywhere in London... All suggestions welcomed... Thanks
  10. Another recommendation for Richard. He did various painting and decorating jobs for me last week, all finished to a high standard. He's also a really nice, friendly guy.
  11. For a present ?30 ish. Does anyone have any favourites they can recommend? Cheers
  12. So, cyclists are supposed neither to sit in the middle of the road nor try to pass in the spaces between cars...damned if we do, damned if we don't.
  13. Help! I'm looking for a coooking/baking course for just a few hours one morning (during the week) to take 38 9 and 10 year old boys to (I'm a teacher!). Does anyone know of any? Thanks
  14. Thanks all. Very useful. I like the look but wonder (in all truthfulness) how much time I am prepared to dedicate to oiling my worktops. Granite might win after all.
  15. Do you have these? Are you happy with them? Do they take a lot of maintenance (oiling etc) to keep them looking good. Any thoughts welcomed to help me in my countertop material decision....
  16. Thanks twister. That's really useful. I'll give it a go.
  17. Hello, I will be moving to Beauval Road in the next few weeks and am currently arranging removals etc. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might reserve some space for the removal van? Southwark council have offered no help as it is a free parking area. They can't therefore reserve a couple of bays. I don't know anyone locally who has a car they could park to save some space. Any suggestions welcomed? Thanks
