  1. We had the carry cot for our daughter and I really liked it. I particularly liked that I could lift it off the buggy and carry her into the living room or wherever if she was still asleep when we got home from a walk. We also occasionally used it instead of the moses basket for day time naps when she was tiny too as she hated or real moses basket! It was also great when the weather was bad over the winter. I felt it offered more shelter/protection from wind and cold than the cocoon. That being said, we moved her out of it far earlier than I was expecting - 4 months rather than the 6 I was thinking it would last for. She got to a point where she was clearly frustrated that she couldn't see out. Hope that helps with your decision x
  2. ASOS for overbump
  3. Can anyone recommend any good pregnancy pilates or yoga classes is the area? Many thanks A.
  4. There is a post from someone called Meg who has lost a rabbit in the Family Room Classifieds! Hope it's the right bunny.
  5. Gary was able to fit a quite fiddly plaster skimming job for us at short notice at the end of February. He was easy to work with and good at keeping us updated. We would be happy to recommend him. A.
  6. The trains do seem to have been particularly bad recently. I used to get a seat from Nunhead probably 80% of the time on the 8:27, even during term time. The past couple of weeks I've stood all the way to Farringdon 8 out of 10 mornings. Tedious.
  7. Hmm... the 484's and 343's were going both ways past Surrey road stop this morning around 8am. It sounds as though you have to take a gamble at the moment as to which bus stop to try! What fun.... agree with The Minkey that he lack of communication has been pretty abysmal.
  8. A heads up - the 484 and 343 buses are now going along Cheltenham and then up to Brenchley Gardens and then to St Norbert Road. So they are stopping at Surrey road again, not going along Inverton and not stopping at St Antony and St Silas. They hadn't changed all the diversion signs this morning and the Surrey road stop still has its 'out of use' sign on, but I got on the 484 there this morning.
  9. Agreed, the crazy irregularity is very frustrating, but this has changed my life: how http://countdown.tfl.gov.uk/ If you have a smart phone you can check just before you leave the house and time your arrival at the bus stop to perfection! Also good for checking to see how long your wait will be if you are at the bus stop already, then you can decide to walk if it is going to be ages (though of course caution and common sense should be used if using your smart phone out and about). So far it is impressively accurate too. Amazing.
  10. The Ivy is a nice spot for a quiet pint. Previously we favoured the Herne, but alas I just couldn't cope with the hoards of children last time we went, so we are most grateful that Nick has revived the Ivy :)
  11. Looking forward to testing this out later - amazing! If anyone can comment on reliability thus far please do.
