  1. I can recommend pizza pick up, just down from Peddler near Nigel Road. Good simple tasty pizzas reasonably priced. I know we have about 9 pizza places across ED, Peckham and Nunhead but give them ago - lighter than the sourdough offerings. The owner is really nice too
  2. Saied has saved the day again. After originally landscaping our garden 3 years ago he came back to sort out the garden after we neglected it. After 2 days work it looks great and even popped round today to give us guidance on maintaining the plants. Thoroughly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening to anyone. He's also such a lovely man as well
  3. Second Lidl. Been on a wine course and their wine is frequently recommended by the somiellier (excuse the poor spelling) or try the General Store on Bellenden road
  4. I have a cat and I think it's ok for your neighbour to use the hose, it does no long term damage to the cat. I have used water myself to deter the cat that was bullying mine. I also use water to deter mine from walking on the work surfaces when she was kitten, I don't even have to spray her anymore the sight of the blue spray bottle when she's thinking of jumping up there/scratching the furniture makes her stop and come to me for strokes ( as if to say I know I was being naughty but I do love you :-)) Be thankful the neighbour is only using water, some people use more excessive and fatal means, my cousin's cat was killed by being poisoned with anti-freeze.
  5. We bought a sonic plug that repels mice - worked a treat never saw any again.
  6. So does sopers fish mongers on Ninhead Lane
  7. Buy two terracotta plant pots - ask the milk man to put the milk in one pot and then the other pot (upside down) on top. This is what my mum does in Wiltshire to stop the foxes piercing the foil on her milk bottles.
  8. The vets aren't moving from their location by the park. The branch on lordship lane is in addition - I asked the receptionist at the neighbourhood vet when I was last there.
  9. Most of the pubs in Peckham have things on and free entry
  10. Not local per say but it's worth as trip to a paper chase to get your christmas cards and wrapping paper for next Christmas
  11. If the food item is reduced, it isn't going off but near it's sell by date/use by date, it isn't going to poison anyone ( unless not cooked properly). The supermarkets can't sell food if it's bad. Plus you can freeze the item and it'll keep. You save money and reduce waste http://www.lovefoodhatewaste.com/node/2285 I still peruse the reduced section of the supermarkets to cut my weekly shopping bills, a habit I picked up as a student Give it a go
  12. This was my favourite book at Christmas, the pictures are also so detailed. https://wordery.com/the-church-mice-at-christmas-grahame-oakley-9781848777996?currency=GBP&gtrck=eCtJY2cxMnQ1bHcvZHJMSFZUV3g0Nit4aHhNY3dwTkl3UFVnMmZYR212MHM0ejlMMzBBSHRYQk5NK0lLTFphNnRkUEZ6eHRlbWtkU2ZaZ0lVbzVmakE9PQ&gclid=CNe7up2wzNACFS4o0wodrGwOug In fact the whole series is wonderful and not religious considering it's set in a church

Don't go to Buddakan for dinner - food was low quality and the area we sat was dark Go to the high line and take ID as the standard hotel near the high line has a roof top bar but no matter how old you are or look you have to have ID to get in If you want to the Empire State Building book VIP online tix as you jump the queue. We did and got in in 15mins others had been queuing for 2.5 hrs
  14. Hi I used this guy to fit a cat flap in a wooden door but I believe he can fit through glass. He'll source the flap for you as well. Would use him again if needs be http://www.fourpawsdoors.co.uk
  15. I used to use mycrogynin as it was the only one my GP would prescribe and suffered bad side effects. The GP retired and I went to the family planning clinic, they prescribed Yasmin a new generation pill and it changed my life. No side effects amazing. The FP GP said many GPs won't prescribe it as it's the most expensive pill (mycrogynin is the cheapest as it's very old), however I now buy it online via Superdrug.com - ?50 for 6 months worth and they deliver to your door next day. They sell all sorts of pills on there besides other pharmacy goods. I don't mind spending the money for the convenience and having the best pill I've ever been on.
  16. The travellers on the rye have been there since Monday
  17. We have one in our office. The tea purists at work bought their own kettle as they said the tea was dire made from the tap
  18. Is this the shop that's being painted 'middle class grey' :-) next to Mr Bao's or another shop around there? Seeing a few windows of old shops being covered in brown paper around Nigel road. The more restaurants the merrier - although my waistline does not agree - getting the Peckham paunch with these new eateries!
  19. Just popped into neighbourhood vets, they have confirmed they are NOT closing their practice near Barry road. The HSBC site is in addition to the original. This info came from their receptionist
  20. I lived there - other end to the station and never had any problems, used to walk to and from the station to get to work, frequently after catching the last train home home, drunk without any problems.
  21. You can go to Bournemouth from Clapham Junction/Waterloo lovely sandy beaches
  22. Bussey building are having a Prince night on 4 June, arranged prior to his untimely death
  23. Can also get the train to London Bridge and then the 149 bus (takes about 15mins)
