Thank you so much to both A and chris. I appreciate your encouraging and supporting comments . Yes we have achieved quite alot this summer even with just 4 or people popping in now and then. It would be really appreciated if more volunteers cdould offer an hour here and there. we are trying to get winter growing up and running, I am looking for help to make a veg patch 9 by 3.5ft if any one can with getting it on its way That would be great. Yes Anne I love sharing the plants I grow and we sell them cheaply too to raise more funds for next springs Plants seeds/materials etc. The funding will be spent to create a lovely seating /eating area and a nice dog Run fo the residents that have dogs, and some nice plants. So yes even though summer is on its way out we are still out there trying to get a little more done before the real winter days arrive. If any one can come along and help out that would be great. Free plants to all volunteers through out the year, and you shall be fed and watered as always whilst your here. Hope to hear from some of you even if its for an hour only That hour is precious to us.

I really enjoy reaading these great threads . I was sent a great book by an East Dulwich historian he sent me the book East Dulwich remembered, its got so many interseting photos it, actualy the same Gentlemen has a blue plaque some where in dulwich does any one know him goes under computored shorty on the forum. He and his family lived in Dylways when this road was just meadows of dill, He sent me a map of the workhouse and there was a recreation ground close by. Does any one know where the mansion was ? -
I'm Puzzled as to why the police Can not trace them being that they have the registration number now. Surely it can be traced for the owner and an address, thats if its not stolen of course. ?

They are dreadful horrible creatures that wiped out my entire seedlings in my 2 greenhouses this year, I drown them too and i use the salt border around where my plants are. Broken up egg shell is also a good deterant they dont like the sharpness of broken shells . Ive become a mass snail killer, I found the largest slug ever in our garden clean up, it looked a bit furry and was so long and fat YUk it nearly gave me nightmares Kill Kill Kill and Me too have no remorse what so ever , sorry my garden is my passion and who or what ever destroys all my hard work Will be exterminated HEHE

I live in Dylways in a small block of flats There are 6 flats with 7 residents. Monday this week a guy knocked on my Elderley Nieghbours door, strange because he is the only OAP in our flats and lives at the end flat on the 1st floor, My nieghbour is deaf so he uses an hearing aid And quite often he turns it off indoors sadly he had it on so he heard the Guy knocking on the door, He told him that there was a leak on the coming through a downstairs cieling in the flat below and told him He needed the water turned off, with that he entered the kitchen with my Neighbour and closed the kitchen door, After a minute or so my nieghbour started to feel suspicious and asked the guy to leave whilst re-opening the kitchen door only to see another guy and a young lad in his sitting room, my Neighbour started to call out loudly and they all ran from the flat, one of them had something black in his hand as they fled the seen. We called the police immediatly and i must say they were there in minutes, my poor old neighbour clearly shaken by this intrusion was in a terrible state of shock, he was shaking but managed to give a Discription of the one that entered the kitchen , he was wearing Jeans with a checked blueish shirt on , he had brown hair and was mid thirties About 5ft 8 and of stocky build. if any one as had this caller or know of any one eg friend or Nieghbours then pls get in touch Many Thanks Cas

Ladies and Gents, I get really upset and annoyed when I see these kind of comments from some one that thinks the way mfcjoe does, that kind of person is a Danger to society as much as the man in the park, where is his humanity ? If a women member or male for that matter on this forum is writing about a serious issue like this one its because she truly felt scared and fearfull for her young family, what an heartless person you must be mfcjoe, im wondering if you have any Family yourself ???? All except for you find this incident really disturbing, any decent person would find it very alarming . Thanks leanne I hope you get the support u need with your ordeal. As for mfcjoe... Ever heard the saying " What goes around Comes Around ? -

That comment is uncalled for ibilly. i cant believe the attitude that certain menbers on the forum have at times . ive seen many comments made that are so rude and thoughtless and at times its felt a lot like there is a bit of bullying that goes on, what was the purpose of ibilly making that sick comment, or was it a Joke ? Whos Laughing ? -

Hi all , im so sorry to here all this about robberys, last sat i left my home with my two grandchildren to go to the local shops, 2 guys mixed race was running out of the alley that leads on to greendale this also as a alley that runs up the side of dulwich hamlet football ground its a 4 min walk from sainsburys. These 2 guys were holding thier jackets as they run out of the alley, 1 guy wore a green parker coat and baseball cap, the other wore a kind of black zip up jacket and black trousers,it was clear that they had robbed someone, i watched where they went and rang the police , to make them aware of what i saw. sadly the handy alley as become a prime target for muggers, and ive heard of 3 occasions weapons eg knives were used. hence i cant walk to sainsburys any more, and it makes angry that we have to live like this .
