  2. Looks good .... Will look at coming this month ....
  3. sorry bee, i sent you a PM to try and avoid confusion from my earlier post - but what i was trying to say was that I applied in January for schools for my daugther in SE although I had not yet physically moved to SE. (We had bought a property, but were waiting to complete on buying and selling and i did not have a date of actual moving in - which happened in the first week of Feb). I contacted the school to let them know my situation, and they said this was okay, and i showed them the documentation nearer when my daughter went to school.
  4. bee when we moved to the area, I applied for Ivydale as we were moving from north london to south london over the period of applying for schools Jan/feb. (I spoke to the school about this) and mentioned that I would only get billings past the date (as I was also relying on completions etc) - they said that was fine, and I brought in documentation when my daughter started school or at the initial introductions. I would phone both schools to check, but I think you can apply if you can show appropraite documentation when needed. I am sure Ivydale is taking on another bulge class for 2013 as well.
  5. Etta that sounds interesting, could you pass on the details of your broker? IS this something they do for others or do you have to be an existing client?
  6. Both my car and home insurance is coming up for renewal ..... and I thought I would look around to compare what I am paying at present to what is avialable. I wondered if anyone could share any companies / websites they have used. Our home insurance is through Halifax and is around ?80 pounds a month - does this seem relative to what others pay? My car insurance is through Quinn, (an Irish company) that will no longer be operating from March so I need to look at this. We also seem to have a policy for Thames water which relates to plumbing / pipes bursting on the properyt - (I must check this specificaly) but is this something that seems relevant? I think the overall policy is ?80 per annum, but I am wondering if when we received our mortgage this was bundled in! Any advice or ideas appreciated.
  7. I havev a mid week pass which is ?2.99 a month and free delivery on tues, we'd or thurs for orders over ?40. But the discounts end with the pass, but it allows me to do smaller shops more frequently as the offers we're usually for over ?75. I think the mid week pass has been reduced.
  8. Oops sorry auto correct!
  9. I found otex really helped. It cleared my one ear recently. Can buy from a pharmacy. There is a private ear clinic in centralclondon that does springing ... Not sure about there opening times.
  10. I have a copy of the plans. It looks fairly decent and in keeping - the architectural plans that is. Will try find a link or can send via pm if you give me your email. I
  11. I too live near by and am worried hearing about the possible asbestos link. Rental could of update please?
  12. I have put them in my daughter's eye at this age when she was asleep! You put the drop in the corner of their eye, they blink and hopefully it goes in .... not the best, but the only way I could do it at one point!
  13. My experience with GG was very positive. They offered my daughter a place quite late ( we applied late) . Didn't take it in the end as I found a nursery place which suited us better in terms of timings. but I was impressed with them. Make an appt to go and see them.
  14. I would go for a full size single bed - we got one (I think from mothercare) as it was one of the lowest ones available! YOu can always use one of those bed guards if necessary, but I am not sure its worth it to get a toddler bed that you have to change again at some point. (and duvet covers etc)
  15. Crystal palace has fireworks this sat.
  16. I have found the eco cloths really amazing, especially the ones for cleaning windows. You use only water, and they come up streak free. http://www.ecogreenstore.co.uk/ecloths-m-1.html That combined with a steam mop, and other eco type cloths means i have massively cut down on cleaning products
  17. I bought one of those old globes/atlas off (ebay) which works well as a night light, definately not too bright..... (although I switch it off and dont leave it on teh whole night) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-Light-Up-Globe-Great-For-Kids-Night-Light-/180979735804?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item2a233b9cfc
  18. On the little strip of shops where the post office / co-op / is ..... Theres the small DIY shop on the corner and Herne Tavern across the road .... if that makes sense! I cant remember what amount of fluouride the bubblegum ones had .... i have just been desperate to find non mint options!
  19. I have the same mint aversion with my duaghter. I found in the chemist next to the French Cafe a "Punch and Judy" toothpaste (strawberry). There are some bubblegum flavours around as well .... pound shops often have them with characters on them ... theres a sponge bob one i think ...
  20. On Bellenden Road last weekend I happened upon Bias .... Newly opened. What a great shop! Some lovely jeans and selection of clothesc...... Therevareca few children's clothes as well but I was more interested in looking for myself!
  21. My daughter found a little gold bracelet - with a name engraved on it at Peckham rye on Sunday. I handed it into the cafe and they have it in there till
  22. I will send you a pm .....
  23. I saw some of the discount vouchers at the chemist near the post office / French cafe. Try the cafe in Peckham rye, last yearctheychad them.
