Start a Wordpress website. There are thousands of videos on YouTube teaching you about how to get it set up (in terms of domains, hosting etc) as well as customising your site, adding content etc. You really don't need to be technical, and I'd expect any semi-computer literate person to be able to get started in less than a day

Thanks for your reply. Brockwell opens at 7.30 and I can't find it on the Southwark Council website about Belair Park so I've emailed them... here's hoping!

Why has this been moved to The Lounge?

Hello, I was wondering if anybody knew of any local tennis courts open first thing... preferably 6am? Dulwich Park doesn't open until 8 which means we can't play before work. Thanks

To be honest it was one of those adrenaline-inducing situations that left my memory a bit hazy, I just left the co-op, saw what he was doing and 'saw red' as it were! All I do remember is that he was mixed-race and medium height/build. If anybody else on here saw the incident and could elaborate a little I think that would be helpful. It's worrying that he had bolt-cutters on him. I would normally expect this situation to occur after a 'spotter' contacts other people with the necessary equipment. I used to have an older, less attractive bike which I always left on various points of Lordship Lane or outside Fusion on Crystal Palace Road without issue. This was the first time I'd left my new, much sexier racer unattended and this is what happens! I won't be doing it again any time soon.

Hello, I am working on a project and I need to gather some research about spending cuts with regard to local councils and the gap between what people want and what they?re currently getting. Obviously it differs region to region so I was hoping to get some input from the varied demographic in East Dulwich (I don?t have kids for example so can only really speak for myself!) If there was an endless pot of money available, what community based items/services would you like to see in/around ED? I don?t mean businesses, but things ordinarily funded by the council such as park benches, playgrounds etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is that what the 50 people are opposing or was that, as I suspect, the late license issue? -

Hmmm I'm looking at today's metro but can't find it? It was picked up by a colleague in Richmond so could be the different edition. What page? -

Why on earth are you carrying this on when the application has been withdrawn anyway? Which by the way is surely a gesture of goodwill to the opposition. Chill Winston! -

I personally think its nice to see a pub doing well that isn't one of the characterless lordship lane 'bars'. It's somewhere for the local community and I think these complaints are nothing more than bitter misery. It's not like they're running club nights or having noisy lock ins, it's a pub with a smoking area. If this was anywhere else in Europe the neighbours wouldn't batter an eyelid, it's just another example of snooty east dulwichers wanting to live in an area with all the lovely bars, restaurants and other attractive amenities whilst expecting countryside harmony. -
I cycle to victoria and back every day; takes 20/25 mins from Rodwell Road. Not for everyone but I thought worth a mention in case the train does become this anticipated nightmare!

Value-for-money alarm?

guys, guys. Somewhere beneath the ranting I think I found out what I wanted to know so thanks!

Ok great, thanks for that. Would anyone know if these predictions are usually accurate? I'm thinking about organising an event to celebrate the new line so will need 100% faith that it will open on the 9th; not before or after. Sounds promising that they've already done test runs

Hello, I realise that this is not an original thread but it is (i think) an original question.... has there been an 'official' announcement of the date that the line extension will come to Peckham/Denmark Hill? Does anyone know? The best info I've found out is 'late this year' and I want more accuracy! Thanks

The week before last I had 2 days off work because of bites. I had 2 enormous blisters and extreme swelling. The doctor was somewhat surprised it had happened in the UK, URGH! I was meant to write a post about it on here but didn't get around to it, interesting that I'm seemingly not the only one!

Olympic ceremony tonight and getting to Greenwich tomorrow
PN33 replied to PN33's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Trains into Blackheath only seem to be coming from Charing Cross; I don't know if that's because of the games or because it's so early on a Saturday. I've booked a cab from ED to Blackheath and it's only ?15 so I figured it's probably not worth the mither of public transport, which for 2 people would probably have come close to ?10 anyway. Thanks guys! -
Hello, My sisters have tickets to the equestrian event in Greenwich tomorrow and are coming down to stay with me for the weekend. I have a couple of questions; - Is the Olympic ceremony being shown in any of the pubs in ED tonight? - How would you get to Greenwich for 08.30 tomorrow morning? I think the Jubilee Line from London Bridge will be chaos. The best idea I had was a cab to Queens Road Peckham and then the 171 bus, although that road into Greenwich might also be carnage. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks
