Having my second baby there. I didn't like that I had to lay amongst other women in labour the first time around, listening to them moan while being in pain myself, i don't see that as a relaxing experience to be honest. And after 3 days of labour and getting the baby out i was put in a room mixed with women in labour and women that just had there baby, i was there for a week with basically no sleep at all. Would really just like a better experience this time around.

I'm in shock that the manager of bright horizon would lie about her identity. -
Strangers interfering in baby crying on bus.
ukdealguide replied to ukdealguide's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I completely hear you but he was having non of it as he was tired, which only means one thing in his eyes. Unfortunately he does not take a beaker, i guess we where just scare of breaking the routine as we have been working so hard on it day and night. I guess it was just one of days. Thanks for your message :) -
So me and my husband took the bus today together with our 15 month old boy. Our boy was getting sleepy and normally i breastfeed him to sleep but we are in the process of weening him off the boob. So he got sad and started to cry, we where sitting in front of him so he could see us at all time i put my hand on his lab to calm him, that just made him more angry so my husband said to look away and not have eye contact with him, we tried that it worked for a bit, but then he go angry again. Now my son is a stubborn little one with quite a temper, usually get what he wants so to get him into a new mindset of not feeding on the boob would be quit traumatic for him (probably also sounded like that) This older woman who was getting off came up to us asking us why we where not picking him up, my husband told her what we where doing when 2 younger women at the back started interfering and yelling we where actually being verbally attacked from all sides, my husband told me to ignore it and he just had to yell at everybody to mind there own business. I was so upset when leaving the bus. I think it is good that people don't turn a blind eye if they see something that is not right, but interfering in this is just unbelievable. We are just parents that are trying to figure out the best way for our son to stop breastfeeding. Has anybody had similar experience they would like to share?

Any recommendation on The Villa nursery
ukdealguide replied to ukdealguide's topic in The Family Room Discussion
So i think i probably have an explanation for why iclaudia came in so fast, this is what the manager said to me. 2 years ago they extended the building and suddenly had room for 40 more kids that they did not expect. The manager said they are very fair and that it all dep on age group and timing. She still told me 2.5 years start sep 2016 not guaranteed. I guess there is nothing else to do than wait, and maybe call ever 6 month and ask where you are on tge waiting list. -

Digbina Wy don't you just call them and have a chat with them? -

Yes i talked to the and my son would be guaranteed a place Sep. 2016. We are not desperate as I'm a stay at home mom. The good thing is once they are in they have first priority for pre prep. School. :-) -

Denmark - best areas for August holiday?
ukdealguide replied to Minitoots's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Minitoots. I'm from Skagen and I can't recommend that place enough, I was there last month to visit my mum (with my little boy now 5 month) for a couple of weeks and it was just heaven. Conde Nast recently had an article about Skagen. (If you decide to go i can give you more tips of where to go and what to see) :-) http://www.cntraveller.com/recommended/coast-countryside/shores-of-skagen-denmark Regards Liisbet -
I'm looking for female models in the area that would be willing to give up a few hours of them time to do a photo shoot. I'm a photographer in the area and expanding my portfolio to include more fashion and editorial work. If you are interested, please send some polaroids / (normal photos without make up etc) to: eastdulwichphoto@gmail.com I usually shoot at The Camera Club by Oval. It's not paid work, but you will get some images from the shoot for your time.

Kings or Tommys for giving birth - first baby
ukdealguide replied to CocoC's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Okay here is my honest opinion. Don't go to Kings. Worst experience we've ever been through. Wife was in labour, none of the birthing pools were working, no hot water, mixed ward with antenatal and postnatal patients (absolute circus), rude midwives, left my wife on a mattress on the floor for 3 hours without showing her how gas and air worked, paediatrician who had never worked on babies before (only kids 7 years and older). We had no confidence in the doctors and midwives there. When you ask for information from doctors and midwives you are guaranteed to get different conflicting responses all the time. Some midwives bad mouthing patients as "annoying attention seekers" Terrible and horrendous care. I'm sure the experience is different for everyone but knowing what I know now, is rather go to St Thomas'. On the flip side of the coin, Lanes midwives are incredible, amazing and highly recommended but I would avoid Kings if possible. -

Bible preaching people coming to your door?
ukdealguide replied to ukdealguide's topic in The Lounge
I just think if you really believe in something it should not matter what others opinions are. (she seems a little superficial to me) :-) -
Do you ever get bible preaching people that come to your door? Today I did, I don't have anything against it but when I (straight away said) "I'm sorry but i'm not interested" they both looked at me like i was crazy and the one women asked me "Have you always been like this" I think that was a bit rude of her to say that as everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

I have painted a whole wall in our kitchen with blackboard paint and we love it! Good for to do list and small cute messages to my hubby. I would recommend :-)
