    really sorry to hear that. which end of friern road? we are by goodrich road and my two neighbours were burgled also but around Easter i think.

    i'll never forget 4 years ago my neighbours upstairs would not use proper bin bags so food always spilling out of the bin etc. I cleaned it when i saw a maggot trying to climb out. Euuuuuuuuuggggghhhhh!!!!! I nearly vommed on the maggots!!

    Hi - I was wondering if anyone could suggest where to go that was within train distance and 2 kids - i don't drive and have a 1 year old and 5 year old. Looking to get away for a couple of nights over a weekend so it needs to be near ish. Any suggestions greatly received. Thanks!

    we used sky for the last 10 years in ED until BT sport this year - have switched and all i will say both are good but BT doesn't reach my bedroom whereas sky did. both i would recommend. BT more as its cost effective

    Growly Bear - i think the point is that the head is not meeting with parents? yet you state "The steps in the procedure should be followed, ie meet the class teacher if appropriate, discuss the issue with the Headteacher" If one cannot get to see the Headteacher to discuss then what?

    Jeremy - I disagree with you. School hours are 9-330pm. Surgery open from 8am until 7pm. That is a lot of appointments between now and mid July.

    I have called and emailed three times now to try to speak to my daughters teacher but nothing, no returned call or returned email! Not impressed!!

    I called an hour ago to get my daughter seen (she is 5yrs old). earliest appointment they could give me outside of school hours was mid July. I mean REALLY?????

    I was quite disappointed with it being geared more towards the estate agents (i read the first one free in the Palmerston). I've since had it through our letterbox and i use it to cut up and make collages with my 5 year old.

    agree with you Saffron. its an interesting thread and great to see it from a nannies point of view.And like James B said has made me think about the way I look at things.

    its a tricky one as I have had child carers looking after my children of all ages and I would prefer older carers now BECAUSE they have more experience and would suit me much more. And this is in my experience.
