  1. I saw Jamie from Shameless in The Plough and then in Sainsbury.
  2. I had to chase Kings after I didn't hear anything from them and they also told me that they never received my form. I was lucky enough to book onto a course over the phone and was about 34 weeks when they started and a lot further than anyone else. Definitely chase Kings, I think I had to keep calling everyday for a week before I got to speak to the correct person.
  3. I have lived in the area for 3 years now and really love it. Now that I have my baby (6 weeks old) I have found I appreciate the area even more for the parks, local shops, library and lots of cafes and child friendly pubs. I really like that there is so much to do locally. I didn't have many friends or family in the area as I am from North London but with a bit of effort have made lots of local friends and I even set up a regular meet with local mums which has been great. The only thing I would say is that due to rising house prices, lack of childcare and problems getting into schools as mentioned above I feel like it's not somewhere we will be able to stay which is a real shame now that we are settled here.
  4. No only a week now thankfully! However it is my first and I think on average first babies are often late. I am hoping to have a waterbirth at home if all goes to plan. How about you? Katy
  5. Hi Simone I am due on 24th April with my first. I am having a boy. Katy x
  6. Hi all A few of us have managed to meet up and keen to meet some more so it would be great if anyone else wanting to come along could email me so I have your address and can organise and arrange days and times via email. [email protected] x
  7. Hi I would also be interested in coming along to these tea groups and will help in any way I can. I am interested in meeting other mums and have joined NCT but haven't heard of anything happening in this area. Let me know if I can help Katy
  8. Hi all Thanks so much for getting back to me. I have PM'd you all about meeting up so hopefully we can all arrange something Katy x
  9. Thanks for the information. I think I will post a thread on here and see if there are any new mums to be that fancy meeting up. It would be nice to meet people at this stage and talk through things and meet more people in the area. Katy
  10. Hi My name is Katy and I am expecting my first child in April. I have lived in East Dulwich for a few years now. I just wanted to see if there were any other mums to be in the area that fancied meeting up for a coffee and a chat? Katy
  11. Hi both I am a new mum to be too. I am due in April but have no idea about NCT. Do you join and then sign up for classes? I would love to meet mothers to be as myself and my husband have also been in Dulwich for over 2 years now but haven't met many local people. Katy

    Car clamping

I am actually in shock at how many cases of this have happened and how similar it all sounds to what happened to myself and my husband a few weeks ago! We were on our honeymoon a few weeks ago when the Baliffs came and took our car away, they also claimed that we had a parking ticket which once we called the council to check seemed to also be through a CCTV camera, we have receieved absolutely nothing in the post and the baliffs had already had our car for 5 days by the time we got back from holiday thinking it was stolen. Once we spoke to the Baliffs they said it would be sold the next day at auction unless we came up with nearly a grand in fees. Luckily my husband found a form online that meant we could appeal to the court and stop the baliffs but it was very tight and we still don't have our car back or any news on whether we will have to pay this or not. I just can't believe they get away with this stuff
