I sent my husband out in search of her earlier, so glad you took her in!! I was just about to place a lost post when I saw your post, I love this forum! Will pm you re: collection. Again......thank you!!! Vix

We've lost one of our daughters Ugg boot in a size 7 somewhere between Goose Green park and Friern Road. Would be great to hear from you if you've spotted it. She has one very cold foot! Thanks x

Can someone lend me a wedding veil for a day!?
corbella posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
Not strictly family discussion (sorry administrator) but I am hoping one of the lovely people here might have a short wedding veil I could borrow for a day. I am getting married in Sept and have a hair and make-up trial this Weds morning, I am going to wear a veil at the wedding but haven't bought it yet and could do with seeing it fitted with the hairdo. I would need it Weds morning for a matter of hours and would take good care of it! Have also posted in the wanted section (sorry again admin!) Thanks! -
Oh...I thought it was the on the 4th too?!?!? I imagine this is now not happening?

My little one, now 11 months, has never been good in the car either, actually that's putting it mildly.... she hates it! I dread all car journeys and need to be mentally and physically prepared to even consider doing a trip longer than 10 minutes. I think I have tried almost everything.... her favourite toys, food, books, radio, baby jake... but nothing stops her from crying. I have often wondered if she suffers from motion sickness too, but I doubt it as on occasions, when her crying has become too much, I have taken her out of her chair and she calms within seconds. She doesn't like her pram much either and she never liked her baby swing or jumperoo, so I think her issue is that she doesn't like to be restrained. She has always been a very active, mobile baby and would much rather be free to investigate her surroundings than tied in to a chair. I wish I could say she's got better with age, but she hasn't :(. I'm just hoping that one day we'll get in the car and she will either fall asleep or just sit there happy, without a tear in sight.....I can but dream!! I'm sorry that this post isn't at all helpful Lucy, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone and alike you, if anyone has a magical solution...please help!!! Good luck

Great idea, I'm at a wedding on the 3rd but could do the 4th....??? I'm bi-lingual but I tend to speak English to my little one most of the time, which I could kick myself for! Partner would be interested in picking up some Spanish too and I really want baby to grow up speaking both languages, as I did. I'm happy to meet anywhere, middle ground sounds perfect :)

Thanks Hazelnunhead! Will get in touch with colour box nursery this week and post back on this thread, thank you! I'd be really interested in helping set up/attending a class. A pub meet up would be great MoniqueBello and I would definitely attend one of your rhyme groups. The Herne, The Mag or The Gardens Cafe are all good places to meet up with babies too.

Hi arworld, Apologies for hijacking your post but I would also be very interested in attending and finding out any information anyone may have on Spanish toddler groups. I'm half spanish and although my little one is only turning 1 in March I'm interested in starting her up as soon as possible! :)

Our car got broken into sometime between the early hours of 12.30am and 11am today, on the crossroads of Goodrich Rd and Friern Rd. In the craziness of coming back from a two week holiday with a 6month old baby we left our i-phones and a Burberry mens coat in the car which were all stolen along with our tom tom and some cash ( parking money!! about ?20 in ?1 coins) They have tried to purchase goods, a motorbike and rolex watch, via our ebay account accessed via our i-phone. We have contacted the police. This post is primarily to make people aware of the incident, don't be silly like us ad leave any goods in your car!! If anyone saw anything suspect around the area please let us know, or if anyone sees someone wearing a very distinctive 2 piece Burberry coat, grey undercoat and dark blue overcoat with Burberry print under collar which clearly doesn't suit them, please make a note of where or who you spot wearing it. We can however replace these goods but what we can't replace is our 6month old baby first holiday photos, so sad....
