What a negative attitude many people have. Very Daily Mail.

I would like to know the prices also.

There has been a female selling Big Issue outside Co-op for many years now. To sell Big Issue she should have ID, but come one let's not get too worked up about it. Don't buy from her if you have a problem with her, but don't automatically criticise either. There are some self-righteous commentators on this forum.

Getting to Heathrow (or Paddington) early morning
mrure replied to snowman's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I used Airport Direct Services in September for an 8am flight from Gatwick. They were terrific and picked me up at 5.30. Cost ?42 which is a set price to Gatwick. -
The local library, across from the station has one, once a month I think.

is denmark hill cooler than east dulwich?
mrure replied to Cam123's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
"Denmark hill has a Wetherspoons, an okay railway pub, a train station, a hospital, and a mental hospital. That is all. Oh, and a big scary tower with a cross." Big scary tower is Salvation Army. Supposedly, one of the best hospitals in the UK - King's College Hospital, Maudsley Hospital - a psychiatric hospital please as opposed to mental, and King's College. -
I use all the libraries and I read several books a week. I see nothing wrong at all with the library services in this area and think we are well served.

I have somewhere a driver with an assortment of bits including torx. Can you make a firmer identification from, say the RH panel at [en.wikipedia.org]? I checked that link out earlier today and had difficulty identifying any of them mostly due to the screws in DVD being so small and also because I am in office so do not have DVD player to hand. Thanks for your help all of you. I will work it out.

A CD that I was playing the other evening has vanished somewhere inside the DVD player ' Are you saying the draw opened but the CD was not there ?? How Odd.. When drawer opened somehow it had slid off to the back

A CD that I was playing the other evening has vanished somewhere inside the DVD player and I am not very sure how to get it out. I tried taking the screws out but they are sort of star or flower shaped ones and although I thought the screwdriver I had was for this type of screw I cannot budge them. Any ideas?

I heard it the other day on the bus. He actually introduces himself, but happily you couldn't hear him for traffic noises and other disruptions.

So if you want peas, or beans what do you do? Frozen vegetables are usually fresher than 'fresh' stuff as it is frozen shortly after picking, same with fish. Fresh peas only have a short window of availability in the summer. Maybe you buy beans flown in from Kenya, or blueberries from Spain. I tend to buy what is seasonal & cheap. I use fresh products up quickly, so nothing is every lying around to go mouldy.

Are their frozen vegetables and fish inferior? Their crumpets? Inferior to what exactly? I don't buy frozen, full stop. If you look at many products in Iceland, what they have in them are not so healthy.

No matter how small a budget you have (and mine is small), it is possible to eat healthily and from scratch by buying carefully. I wouldn't buy from Iceland if I was paid to do it due to the inferior quality of products. However, except for the odd treat (and I prefer Waitrose) I wouldn't use M&S either - too expensive. Not all who live in East Dulwich and environs are upmarket!

"Not so - and the French agree." Those outside Paris yes. Same with London, those outside of it are not too enamoured of London. I lived in Paris for many years so I wouldn't agree with you and to appreciate a city takes more than a tourist visit.
