  1. Local E Dulwich (Upland Road area) people. Our dear neighbours have lost their 6 month old tabby kitten Ninja. Workmen at the house had the door open and she managed to run out. She?s not used to going out and is v nervous and tiny. She was spade 3 weeks ago so has a scar/shaved side. Her little brother is sad and her little owner even more so. Please look out under cars, hedges, boxes, sheds. Thanks.
  2. Peckham Supports Refugees are hosting a special screening of award winning activist Ai Weiwei?s documentary film ?The Human Flow?. 3. My son had his locked red road bike (dropped handlebars) stolen on saturday afternoon. It was locked with a cable lock to the bike lock post next to the phone box outside Blue Tit hairdressers on Peckham Rye. It was between 1.15-6.15pm. He returned to it to find the lock cut through lying on the floor. Custom built, no make, with small plastic ?arse saver? mud guard on back. Really annoying and v cross teenager. Be aware.
  4. Redthread is a brilliant charity working in many many local schools and hospitals with youth trapped in violence. Brilliant
  5. All Saints in Peckham, opposite Peckham Rye train station is great! Very mixed congregation, lively, engaged, young, old, singles, families, men'S and women'S prayer breakfasts, CAP , food bank, youth work, children's church, homegroups...you'd be v welcome! Christmas carol service is Sunday 11th evening.
  6. Cat vanished after a few hours- hopefully found by owner?
  7. My friend has just found a black and white cat on the grass verge opposite 145 Consort Road- unfortunately it's got a head injury and has died. She's going to call the Neighbourhood Vet but I thought someone might know who owns it?
  8. I have used Steve at least 5 times now. On Steve's recommendations we finally bought a new machine and stupidly got the deliverers to unplumb the old one and plumb in the new one. They couldn't even manage the first bit and in fact left me with my old machine plumbed in v badly which turned into a huge leak all over the floor on Monday. I called Steve in desperation and he was with me v quickly. He sorted the problem in 2 mins. Stung by the stupid delivery men the first time I asked steve to come back and sort the new one out once it'd been delivered. He arrived v. quickly and the problem was solved! Steve has always been v honest and if he hasn't had to do anything other than advise us he hasn't charged us. V well recommended. Thanks Steve.
  9. I have a keen 8 year old boy who would love to join a drama/musical theatre class but during the week as sport takes over our weekends. Does anyone know of any good ones that fit this criteria?!! Thanks

  11. Chica121. If you or anyone else witnessed this incident could you please contact the police (Road Death Investigation Unit) on 02082851574 ASAP. Thank you
  12. Thanks. I spoke to the organisers today and they've virtually sold out of 'seller' spaces so should be a good place to grab a bargain!
  13. There's a table top sale at Goodrich Primary school on Saturday 10th, (2-4). Is anyone selling decent kids clothes/toys/baby equipment suitable for Christmas presents??
  14. Last half hour at Goodrich Primary School's table top sale- come and grab a bargain!! St Dunstan's Road, SE22!(
  15. definate parent arguement...appears to have stopped.
  16. Try Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' - we've used them loads and they're brilliant! They do working farms and let the kids collect the eggs, watch the cows being milked, provide lovely authentic farmhouse meal in the eve whilst your babes are sleeping safely upstairs OR posh chateaus still just as friendly. Enjoy.
  17. Each of my 3 sons did this around this age. I spoke to a speech therapist friend of mine and she said it was often 'a stage'. It was and it stopped. I think the trick is NOT to mention it and not to finish their sentences or hurry them. Of course, it could be more serious, but only time will tell I guess! Good luck.
  18. 'Danny's' football at Jags on a Saturday morning. Drop in 9.15am. ?5 a session. Not particularly training but they love it and take ages 3/4 +. After the hours 'match' each age group then have a knock out penalty shoot out. The winner takes home a trophy for the week. Brilliant lesson in life!!
  19. Try down the A2 - near the junction with Gravesend - turn off there and turn right over the A2 towards New Barn and Meopham - loads there last year!
  20. my mistake- thank you!!
  21. Our family are off to The Camden Roundhouse this Sunday for the family matine performance of 'Lucha Future'! We have 3 little boys (10,7 and 5) and they are VERY excited! I have heard that there are some tickets still left and thought I'd spread the word! You may have seen 'Nacho Libre' the film with Jack Black in it? Well, the show is the film come to life! It's every little boy's (and lively girl's!)dream - masked wrestlers in full make up and amazing costumes, hurling each other round the ring and over the side to the audience!! There is Mexican food, Mexican music..... It starts on Friday and there are family matinees Sat and Sun and evening performances too. I have no connection to the show but thought it really shouldn't go unmentioned!! Our boys have been waiting a year for the wrestlers to come to the UK so roll on Sunday!! 22. Took a load of lovely jumble to Geranium on Norwood High St this week as i too have had v frosty reception from the above. Geranium were soooo grateful and polite. Mr Stalkey pointed out that the Nike trainers were in the boot for a reason...and not for jumble.....oops!
  23. Never leave handbags or keys downstairs overnight. Don't leave things on the stairs where they can be seen. I am not embellishing the facts but burglars have been known to use long bamboo poles to hook bags etc off the stairs through the letter box and to then drag them to the front door where they can pull them up and find keys in the bag. hey presto and they're in your house and got your car. Don't leave lap tops leaning up against the wall where they can be seen through the windows either. If burglars can see things which they can quickly grab then all the better.
  24. I notice that St. Christopher's wont take toys anymore - anyone know why not? Never really understood why our charity shops aren't terribly good. I go over to Beckenham to get great bargains and good stock. Or is it just me?!
  25. We have always used Waytopaye who are brilliant!
