  1. Well if I had done a questionnaire , with replies on here and from other neighbours and friends, cutting through it accidentally, wins by miles!! I have spoke to my neighbour weeks ago Sue. I find that if it isn't inflicting irritation or being an ugly eyesore to them, it isn't an issue that really concerns them. I am always upfront with people, however when you ask other people to sort it out and nothing happens, then I have to deal with it as I'm sure if it was the other way around they would do the same, however I would not have had to be asked, I try to treat neighbours as I like to be treated. I won't be cutting through it, however tempting it may be. I have wrote to virgin. The front garden is for my sole use, however the land belongs to the council as we are leaseholders. As its classed like utilities, virgin do have the right to run their cables through garden, that I'm not disputing, it's just that its in green tubing accross the garden, rather than run along side of fence. Anyhow, maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy and maybe most people wouldnt care. If I get it resolved by writing, will update so anyone else with same issue knows what to do. If all else fails, be naughty.
  2. I have just spend 1/2 an hour on phone, trying to get virgin to arrange to send someone out to move the cable so it runs along the side of my garden. After being put through to five people, it seems as I'm not the customer, my neighbour is, that I can't complain by email or phone and I have to write! Has anyone else had this issue with them putting a big green plastic tubing across their garden and how did you get it moved?. Any advice would be good.
  3. Yes, I saw poster on bellenden road and text owner as there was one like it on petslocated. Owner of gizmo text me to say she got him back, so I added comment to let concerned lookers on forum know. Might send owner text to ask her to update forum as its good for us all to know when cats are back home!
  4. Maybe someone did take her thinking that. I just hope that if that is the case, she has been taken for good reasons . I'd like to think someone would pm me, just so I know. Can't help thinking the worst. My only concern is the cat. Can't really add more than that for reasons I'd rather not say on forum.
  5. I didn't think that if you are a Southwark leaseholder, you have to pay for a tenant down stairs to have repairs done. When I was a tenant and flat above was leasehold, my neighbour never had to pay for any of my repairs. Southwark council done suppossed major external works around here, used a company which was like a carry on saltash film. Done nothing but break things , now waiting to go to court. Hope someone can advice you on the neighbours window locks, doesn't sound right to me.
  6. Random hand held speed guns are not the answer. I don't understand why there are no permanent speed cameras. I am a driver and it really p's me when I'm being tailgated to go faster on Barry road. I don't take any notice, however nervous people can get worried into going faster. Very long road, idiots putting their foot down, nothing happening to stop them. Numerous cats killed on Barry road too. Can't wait for the day when all cars drive without relying on people and then hopefully computers will abide by speed limits!!
  7. Yes , Theartfuldogger,I did actually think I sounded a little dodgy! James Barber- do you not think there should be speed cameras as it is a very long road and I've noticed many speeding cars. I'm surprised there hasn't been any incidents involving pedestrians. Who decides whether a road should have speed cameras?
  8. Just wondering, as I do drive through it , I just can't remember?
  9. Can you put photo on here? Thx
  10. Last seen early 29/09/16 in front garden marsden road. 11 years old. Please see photo with details. Thanks
  11. Maybe just feed him same time each eve and hopefully he will begin to trust you enough to get him to vets to get scanned. He may not be lost and I wouldn't advice giving any worming stuff as he may be owned and already wormed. Can you Try to get photo even in dark as most phone cameras and cameras have a flash? Also if you post roughly where the cat is, not exact location just incase he lives local.
  12. Went to rspca, was very difficult to tell though managed to check certain markings, it wasn't Tess. Very sad that it is someone else's tabby and white female cat. It isn't any I have seen on any sites, including this one, just bloody awful. Anyhow still think someone had taken her on Thursday , will update if any news. Thanks all for looking out for her.
  13. Been searching on all lost sites, putting her photo and details. Rung rspca Putney several times, long story short, told no, then I registered on pets located last night, a match came up, Putney rspca. Don't understand why I'd rung nearly everyday and told no. Anyhow this tabby and white may not be Tessie, as it was taken from lyndhurst way in Peckham, an rspca inspector was called to collect her. She couldn't have walked there as last seen 29th sept and rspca collected on 1st October . So unless someone took her from garden to lyndhurst way, I'm really hoping it's not her as she was put to sleep.need to get to Putney to identify as pretty sure owner can't as she can't leave her mother who had a stroke, I'm now seeing if any of my friends can bring me there. If it's not Tessie will update, though it is someone's poor little cat if not. It's just all so sad.
  14. If you can get him to Celia hammonds they will scan him, sounds like he needs neutering as well and if owner can't be traced, Celia hammonds would neuter him too. Good luck,he's a handsome cat.
  15. Just an update... Spoke to person who was enquiring on Tuesday and I know who that was and she didn't take Tess. Still no news though.
  16. Put it on the doglost site. Hopefully reunited already though.
  17. Kaz@263, thanks for posting & keeping an eye out for her. Se15mum, thanks for posting. I have no idea who that was as it wasn't me. Perhaps she may have taken her. Any chance of a description? I don't understand why people think they have the right to just take a cat without finding out the situation. The cat sat on the wall outside where she lived, there are cat bowls in the garden,so it was pretty obvious the cat lived there, and yes she was very skinny because she has an overactive thyroid which was being dealt with and cats with this issue don't put weight on quickly even with treatment and sometimes never at all. The cat lived there for 11 years and it is a terrible thing to take someone's pet, leaving the owner not knowing what has happened to her. I have been ringing all private vets and the charity vets and will be putting posters up in each one. If someone has taken her, she needs to go to a vets because she will eventually go blind and deaf and possibly have a heart attack without her treatment.Im all for keeping an eye out for animals that look lost or in distress, however this cat wasn't in pain and her huge appetite is due to the thyroid issue. People need to do their homework before stealing people's animals, thinking they are doing a good thing, as this is not a good thing, it is wicked. I'm very angry someone has taken Tess, people shouldn't do to other that they wouldn't like done to them.
  18. Just been to see owner to tell her id be taking cat to celia hammonds tomorrow and the cat has gone. The owner saw her out front this morning. If anyone has taken her please can you put her back as she has thyroid problem hence her being thin. The owner has had her for 11 years and thinks someone has taken her.
  19. Apbremer, I'm now placing teaspoons at every possible entry point. I'm prepared now and so at the front of the class!! I've had such a miserable week and you made me laugh, thanks,
  20. Are we talking about same poster? As there are posters up re a lost black and white cat, the one I saw was a small poster, all black cat, haven't seen poster anywhere else other than on lampost on corner between Oxenford and copleston. Doesn't give much detail. Good luck with solving who it belongs to.
  21. Just noticed on corner of oxenford street, coplestone there is little poster of black cat lost from pytchley road. Very small notice with photo, worth having a look.
  22. There are two of my neighbours on Oxenford street with black cats, both very small and young, one wears red collar. might be one of those. It wouldn't be hungry though.
  23. Fantastic news. There is a dog on doglost, reunited with its owner after 5 months, so there is still hope for Nina, mattie and jules.
