  1. I don't use the Internet! One can adapt and amend what one already has - although a pasta maker might be hard to improvise.
  2. There are some really different and not expensive wine glasses in Green Cuisine. I like looking in there even if it is a bit expensive - you can get ideas.

Sainsburys are saying its my > fault, did anyone see me. I presume that you (a) took the name and phone number of the 'kind customer' - which sort of seems like a sensible thing to have done. That (b) that you must have got a severe injury - otherwise you wouldn't have needed to 'scream' - therefore there will be records of your injury available to your 'no win no pay' lawyers, and that © you have been in hospital recovering from your injuries for the past 4.5 months, because obviously if this is bona fide it is far more likely that you would have got a response on the 29th September than now. Or has April Fools Day come early this year?!
  4. Will probably suss out the clothes stall on Saturday, and on Sunday going to Spits.
  5. Mmmm - what about the CPT and the Castle?

  7. ED is crap because there is no tube line.

Have been trying (in vain) to get on the website since 9.45 - looks like I'm not in luck.......:'(

    The Brits....

I must admit that is how I felt about Sid Vicious - obviously not the good father bit, but the trouser bit.........
  10. It's not my cup of tea either so I just won't go in there - end of story. If it makes other people happy - good for them. It does seem that saying that you either like something or don't like something is so fraught. Nothing is ever going to please all the people all of the time.
  11. Oh goodness Atila - that's just how I feel (apart from it being 8 hours) - true mediocrity..........
  12. I'm still eating my Christmas chocolate - 1 box down, 2 boxes to go......
  13. I had a similar experience of an extremely pushy nPower salesman on my doorstep - I use them for gas and he categorically stated that he could undercut my electricity bill even though he didn't know how much I was paying. When I pointed out that nPower were about to put up gas prices and how did I know that the same thing wouldn't happen if I used their electricity, he promised me that he had the power to keep my bills down no matter what! Around this point I asked him to leave!
  14. I thought the Rye was great when it first opened, but now is much of a muchness - and a lot of the original staff have gone and are sorely missed.

  17. Kel is only on about 7.5 a day!
  18. There used to be a 'Wok on By' in Fulham.
  19. Thanks macroban. I knew Eton was originally founded for the poor....
  20. 365 in 132 days - so under 3 a day but then I don't really use the internet in the evenings or weekends.

  22. macroban Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- Dulwich College now quaintly refers to this period as "The Dulwich > Experiment". Fascinating . I must try and get that book on local history to read more about such stuff. It would be interesting to know if any forumites were part of this 'experiment' and what impact it's had on them.
