Is it just me or are there others of the same opinion? This work ethic nonsense is a con to trick the low classes to be subservient to the educated rich! They want you to bow and scrape, except minimum wage to enslave you to a poverty trap. Really, think about it. since the industrial revolution started we have all been sold a crock of shite, work all the hours God sends, scrape by, make do and humbly go cap in hand for a piss poor pay-packet. Them we had self serving unions who after doing a reasonable job of freeing the children from the chimney sweeps and such like. now the rich have crippled their effectiveness, we are now all in this together, Ha bloody Ha. All this great new advances in technology has freed the worker from his labour-intense past and succeeded in reducing him into unemployment! Great innit? Then we are labelled as work shy, even though we've retrained and up-skilled. The unemployed should go on strike! Demand a re-brand "WE ARE THE LEISURE CLASS"

If you want a way to avoid the outrageous cartridge costs and do not trust refills and do not want the mess of filling. Then go bulk! A Continuous Ink System use big bottles of ink that never lets your printer run out easy to refill. Do some research on bulk ink and source good quality Japanese or German materials. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?ie=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=computers&field-keywords=Coralgraph#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&field-keywords=Continuous+Ink+System&rh=n%3A340831031%2Ck%3AContinuous+Ink+System

Hello Microsoft have a "fix it" script available for your issue. follow the wizard and read the notes on this page. Hope this solves your issues Ian http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Why-cant-I-print You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps. Open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative Tools. Double-click Services. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Properties. On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. -
Hello Alison, I have just repaired a desktop PC with a similar issue, in this case it was the clamp that holds the heat-sink to the motherboard had broken, the CPU overheats and shuts down the PC.the mounting only cost ?3, I had to strip all the parts and connections off and remove the board to get the mounting off and then replace and rebuild. Not a particularly difficult task but it took a few hours. A cleaner will cost you ?10 an hour! PC technician with a few years training is worth a bit more I'd say!! (PM if you need further assistance) DO NOT vacuum as the static electricity could easily fry the components inside!!

If you have not run one yet, virus scan your machine!! it might just be spyware, Hotmail is fairly secure but gets a lot of attacks as it's the most popular email server. as Clarec said use a combination of keystrokes. The most easiest is to use a sentence of words as this is the most secure. below is the link to hotmail, hope this helps http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=6ea0c7b3-1473-4176-b03f-145b951dcb41

Microsoft have extended their support on XP until April 2014, Mainstream system builders are notorious for only providing enough resources to meet the current O/S's Minimum system requirements. Finding the right RAM modules might be a bit of a chore, but I did see an xp tower for sale on this forum (yesterday for a tenner!! here is a link to a m/s site to check your end of cycle date http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/search/

Hello Have you tried a different monitor or cable? Inspect the cable and pins (15 of them ) any bent? , make sure the cable is fully screwed down. Have your tried booting in safe mode? Have you recently changed any hardware? or moved it around? Have you opened the box and checked that the RAM chips are seated properly? Is the fan on the CPU on tight? Have you tried booting from the installation cd? Yes lots of questions and lots of possible causes!! Hope this helps Be lucky!!

As it is an antidote then this would suggest a cure rather than infection, It is an MSI file but it will not install automatically users will have the option to run or save, once saved then you can run a virus scan.screenshot of application attached below

These files are currently available from either from Microsoft's MSDN blog site or from the files on his skydrive account. I have downloaded this application and the files are clean, The man has developed this and is offered free. Why do you assume it's infected?

Hello Everyone I see a lot of people have difficulty uploading and/or resizing photo's. Here is an excellent and easy way to achieve this. this utility will run off the right-click menu! So just right click on the image and it will give you options as to size copy etc. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/cumgranosalis/archive/2009/01/14/new-version-of-prish-image-resizer-x64-support-unicode-support-it-s-been-a-while.aspx

I have a 100GB SSD Loaded with a 64bit Windows 7 and all my programs fit on it with half of it unused. Only the data is on a separate HDD. I do however run virtual builds stored on the HDD but as these are self contained I encounter no issues. The virtual machine program is stored along with the O/S Way to go!!!
-
Windows 8 is built on the same framework as 7 so I do not think it would allow that, Why would you want to run programs on a separate partition? programs need to access the registry and moving off the main partition will only cause problems. sure by all means move your data files and map them in explorer. but I would leave your programs with the O/S

Hello gigirl, try these!! You can control what applications start with OS X by going to System Preferences, Accounts, and opening LoginItems. Here, turn off any application that you absolutely don't need the moment you turn on your computer, like iChat and Skype. Remove any widgets from Dashboard that you don't use, or remove them all and disable Dashboard entirely. To disable Dashboard open the Terminal by going to Applications, then Utilities. Enter the following, 'defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES' hit enter. Then type, 'killall Dock' and hit enter to restart Dock without Dashboard enabled. Dashboard can also be disabled with a free application called TinkerTool. You can turn off unused networking services by opening Sharing, under System Preferences. Make sure any services you don't need are unchecked: Windows Sharing, FTP Access, Apple Remote Desktop. As a bonus, this will also make your Mac safer. recent apple O/S's run a disc clean up and remove temp internet files etc. usually at an odd hour of the day, leave the machine switched on overnight or change the schedules. Hope this is not too techy and good luck Ian

I have been using Microsoft security essentials for 2 years without any virus getting through, common sense will keep most of the problems down as does regular updates. I have Windows 8 (developers preview) and this comes pre-loaded with security essentials (called defender) I agree with undisputedtruth virtualisation works well but eats a fair amount of RAM. Google chrome is sandboxed so that should make it the most secure one to use. also XXX domain names are moving the porn off the WWW so at least that's some good news

This subject will inevitably bring out two types of response, those who think it's fun to mock the unfortunate and those whom will feel sympathy, As I am one of those affected by unemployment I find it hard to appreciate crass statements as the one above clearly demonstrates a lack of understanding or humanity, I have applied for over 300 jobs, rarely get a reply let alone an interview I am desperate, downtrodden and depressed, my kids are wearing clothes from the charity shops and we eat very basic food. I cannot afford to buy them any presents at this festive time of year. You go ahead and laugh and have a happy Xmas and try not to choke on your self satisfied overstuffed turkey
