This is wonderful news! Despite the East Dulwich scepticism about GG, it was always clear to me when looking around the local schools that this one was special. Seriously proud of all the teachers and children at Goose Green whose achievements deserve this public recognition.

My eldest rolled over at 14 months, shuffled at 15 months, refused to bear any weight on her legs at all until 16 months and was coaxed into walking (bribed with ice lollies) shortly after her brother arrived at 23 months. You'd never know it looking at her now...

We looked at lots of schools in the area and having assessed them as fairly as we could there was no other contender - Goose Green stood out from them all. Strong leadership... classes were well organised... children were focused on what they were doing... a school with complete lack of complacency. Both our children are happy there and doing very well.

Hi I flew to Australia when my daughter was 14 months. I flew direct on the way out, which was horrible, and stopped in Dubai for a night on the way back, which made a huge difference. And I'd recommend Emirates who are brilliant with children..

Baby still breech unfortunately. I was veering for the c-section but my midwife has persuaded me to at least meet the consultant tomorrow to discuss ecv. I'm not convinced but may give it a go depending on what she says. Thank you for all your messages!

I could do with some advice... I'm 35 weeks pregnant and the baby is still breech and has been for weeks. I have a scan on thurs and they'll decide then whether to turn it. The turning thing sounds horrible - for me, and the baby - and I'm thinking of opting for a c-section. This is my 3rd baby - the others were both natural - and, whilst I'd prefer natural, I'm not sure it seems worth the trauma of turning the baby and potentially ending up with an emergency c-section there and then in any case. Would love to hear from anyone who has had this dilemma.. Meanwhile I will continue to do the (impossible) excercises I've been given. Lying upside down on an ironing board against a wall.. Really??

I used thumbguard with my 4 yr old daughter and it worked brilliantly. We had two goes at it - the first time we stopped too soon and she started sucking her thumb again. But we started again a few weeks later and after the recommended 4 weeks she stopped completely. She did actually want to stop which I think was crucial.

Likely to get into either. Goose green and heber are equally our closest schools but we should get into st. Johns under the church criteria.

I'm having a dilemma over which one to choose. I loved them both. Both had a great atmosphere with lots of energy. I like the C of E factor of St. John's and St. Clement's but reception seemed a bit freefall (although i'm sure that doesn't matter). Goose Green seemed very exciting with a real sense of direction. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
