I'm currently on a little mission to recommend Jovaner, who I've recommended here before, and who has done lots of work for me over the years. The scope of works he can take on, and his skills, have expanded over the years. He now comfortably undertakes full house renovations, including bathroom and kitchen fit outs (he is currently doing my bathroom as we speak). He is a talented carpenter, tiler, plumber and decorator, and has the highest standards of any tradesperson I've every worked with (have a look at the kitchens and furniture that my company - West & Reid - makes for a frame of reference for my standards, if I say so myself! 🙂 Jovaner always meets and goes beyond my expectations. There aren't many people as multi-talented as him, and very few with such high standards. He is the first person I turn to when I need work done in my house - I've waited 6 months for him to do my bathroom, as he was the only person I wanted to do it. I wouldn't hesitate to get him to renovate my entire house if it needed it! He is also the hardest working person I have ever met, and completely trustworthy, as I am sure multiple other recommendations on this site will attest to. If you are wondering why I'm going to so much trouble to recommend him it's simply because he's so good, and every time he does a new job I am reminded of how good he is. But he constantly undersells himself, underprices his work, and has such attention to detail and such high standards that he rarely earns what he deserves for the work he does! I have extremely high standards - have a look at my company West & Reid to see the level of kitchens we make :) and Jovaner always meets and goes beyond my expectations. He will also work on a day rate (usually £260 per day I think) which, when you have someone who works as hard as him, is by far the fairest and best value way to work imo. Just wanted to post another recommendation for Jovaner (pronounced Jovani). It's been a few years since we needed any decorating done but we've just had Jovaner do some more work for us and I never cease to be amazed at how good he is. I've honestly never seen a decorator like him - the quality of his work, and his work ethic, is insane. I often have to tell Jovaner to take a break and stop working so hard - I feel like he's going to work himself into the grave! He is an incredible wallpaperer too - he wallpapered our understairs WC, all four (slanting) walls, including the door, in and our of the door panels, and I had to stare for five minutes to work out where the seams in the wallpaper were! He is also amazingly handy, he can do pretty much anything, carpentry, tiling, silcone work (he is an artist with silicone!) even plumbing. He recently completely rennovated the restaurant in-between Maremma and Naughty Piglets - doing literally everything himself. I think he might have a small window in his schedule due to a cancellation so get in there quick if you need some decorating done! Does anyone know of any forest schools or nature clubs for under 5's that run activities during the week? Looking for something for my 4 year old boy. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

Just want to post a recommendation for a decorator I have recently used. He is probably the hardest working person I have ever met, and also the best (of many, all brilliant) decorators I have used. Frankly I'd rather keep him all to myself(!) as I use him to paint a lot of my carpentry but I know he is working (literally) day and night to send money back to care for his mother in Brazil (Alzheimer's) and I want to help him start building his business on the forum. We took our son to a 4th birthday party last weekend with Fairy Gossamer and she was amazing - the kids were all captivated and loved every minute. Our boy is a couple of years younger but was still completely entranced. She was really lovely, a total pro and made the whole party super easy.
