  1. Just got a message back from them and yes they do provide car seats - so I'll be using them next time.
  2. I'll be just far away enough from you so I can't be accused of copying any of your answers Jamma :)
  3. I should point out that dial-a-cab did at least call at around the pick up time to say they couldn't persuade a driver to come out "our way". That was helpful :)
  4. We?ve had a bad experience with dial-a-cab this morning where they haven?t turned up causing my wife to miss a booked seat on a train from Paddington. We needed a black cab as my wife was travelling with our 1 year old son so needed to be able to push the buggy into the cab and travel in that fashion (as she cannot carry a car seat to go in a normal car). Anyone else know of a reliable way to get a black taxi to come and take you somewhere, or other solutions to this problem. n.b. train across london almost impossible for one person with buggy and luggage and bus would be extremely tough also...
  5. Anyone going? - do I need to book tickets in advance?
  6. Yep - you've got me bang to rights :) Tuesday not necessarily the best night but will perhaps try for our next outing (which I will of course post here...) p.s Thank you very very much for the donation
  7. My card got cloned on Saturday also. First Direct were rapid on the case and blocked a withdrawal in Germany on Sunday. I had used texaco and a few other retailers with the card recently (so could have been any of them and I'm not suggesting it is texaco - however will probably stick to cash in there in future as there seems to be some history there based on other posts). FD couldn't tell me who the flagged retailer was but I was assured the authorities know and are taking action.
  8. it's a no go - bit late to expect wives etc to give pink tickets out :)
  9. never been there before - bit late notice - will have to check with the lads...
  10. Not sure if anyone posted this link already and this thread is far too long for me to check - but just to help on the per-capita point. http://www.crimestatistics.org.uk/tool/Default.asp?region=0&l1=6&l2=0&l3=0&sub=0&v=36 It's all well and good saying you'll move somewhere were they only have one knifing a year, but if only ten people live there your odds don't look that good anymore :)
  11. A little birdie told me they have just employed a French chef so watch this space....
  12. Thanks to GrahamP's help the ticket has now been cancelled - cheers Graham!
  13. oh yes - and plus the fact those ales are always paid for by our quiz winnings - that might be another draw...
  14. I posted here to try and find out where competition might be - we'll happily go elsewhere if there is someone to take on - otherwise we quite like the ales at Hoopers...
  15. Just thought I'd resurrect this thread to let you know that after 8 or so months of chasing the Parking department at Lambeth over this and getting little to no response, other than "Yeah we are looking into it", or "Sorry, we seem to have lost this complaint" believe it or not.... We received a full ?260 refund for the fine in the post today! Bonus - goes to show that persistence can get you anywhere!
  16. A no show Jamma.... lucky you weren't there as we took another easy victory (with only 4 in our team this time to make you happier)
  17. Ok - we'll definitely have a side out tomorrow night - it'll be Hoopers again unless there are specific challenges from elsewhere?
  18. Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > That's what I thought, but poss just thrown away > without being read properly. > I'm not really going to cash in on my vouchers > BTW. I was rescuing them to be used and am happy > to give them to any one that wants one. I'd like a voucher - I suspect Mrs Nutty put it in the recycling...
  19. I'm in SE22 and didn't get a bag (or have they not been released yet?)
  20. I meant BBC Radio 5 which are covering it... http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/listings/day.shtml?day=saturday 08:15 5 live Rugby Coverage of the first test between New Zealand and England in Auckland with commentary from Ian Robertson and Alastair Eykyn plus expert comment from Matt Dawson.
  21. out of interest - will it be on five live if I can't get out of the house...
  22. might see you at the Magdala then!
  23. What time is the game - and is it only on Sky?
  24. looking forward to it - although I was hoping a better challenge would present itself through the forum :)
  25. OK - next outing is 12th June. Where is the competition going to be - The Plough or Hoopers?
