  1. ... oh and sorry to heat about your also! Funny how when this happened to our other car (a Corsa) I was able to just say " oh well - such is life", but with the Lotus it seems like much more of a crime!
  2. Is yours the orange one? Any ideas of decent local(ish) body shops to do the work. I asked on Pistonheads but only got recommendations in Reading and Guildford!
  3. "It's not like giving a greasy long haired tenn a guitar is going to lead them in to heavy drugs and trashing hotel rooms!" are you sure about that... :)
  4. Have a baby on the way so no chance I'll be without my own wheels anytime soon. May have to change the lotus for c Chelsea tractor though! Agree with Jeremy re: connections. I work in Mayfair and ride in on my motorbike. Saves me approx 1 hour a day in travelling which when the baby comes along will be even more precious.

  6. er - they want a bit of privacy and security from burglars?
  7. Yeah - pretty much every car I have owned I have had this happen to. Someone actually managed to write off an Astra I owned in a parking accident. God knows how they hit it so hard! As I spend more of my hard-earned on nicer cars it just gets more annoying. Oh for the day I can afford a driveway/garage...
  8. Just in the completely hopeless off chance that someone saw the driver of the car who smashed the front of my Lotus on Nutfield Road within the last couple of weeks I thought I'd post a message here so you can sneak on them (or knee cap them - I don't mind). [rant]It is the lowest of the low to drive away when you know you've damaged another car whilst parking - there is NO excuse. Suffice to say it will cost me a huge excess, the loss of my no claims, and a massive amount of hassle in getting it fixed. Hope you are proud of yourselves![/rant] (6)
  9. I just saw David Walliams and Matt Lucas on Oxford Street and I come from ED - does that count?
  10. I get it - the "eating sushi off a barbershop floor" euphemism :)

Two fish in a tank - one says to the other, how do we drive this thing?
  14. I could probably survive if EDD stared selling arancini...
  15. fish - you wind up merchant you ;-)
  16. Where will I buy all my jossticks from now! :-S
  17. Morton in the pet shop on North Cross Road keeps lists of available pets from local owners (for cats certainly) so probably worth gong to see. He was really helpful answering all the questions we had when we got our first cat and we've been buying pet stuff from there ever since.
  18. not vandalism - one of the cables had pinged loose
  19. the one on LL was bust this morning so recorded traffic flow could be low... :-S
  20. Mr Liu every time
  21. or just add a link to buymeabeer :)-D
  22. wasn't touting ning per se (only just came across it) - just wondered if any users would want functionality such as - being able to post piccies to photo areas - blogs - online chat and profile - networky/accumulate friends tosh
  23. I'll take that as a "No - we don't want that sort of nonsense here" (td)
  24. This forum is all well and good (actually I think it's very good) but seems to be becoming quite a networking site (i.e. members using threads to chat about random stuff). It could do with building in networking features. As an example I knocked up a quick one on "ning" which can be seen here. Not suggesting we use this but what does everyone think of the general idea? http://eastdulwich.ning.com/
  25. It appears they have just replaced it with a flower bed which was planted last Friday afternoon
