  1. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax
  2. That and tax and MOT would help too I guess.
  3. It has no tax, it should be stored off road as it has a SORN tax status. It has not moved at all since before Christmas when the back tyre went completely flat. ourbubbleonline, maybe we could get it towed to sit outside your house for 12 months or so - you might get a bit sick of looking at it too?
  4. I have FB shared, I hope he turns up safe and sound soon
  5. We were out for a few minutes on Northcross Road
  6. Here here oquinn, it is parked just along from our house and it is driving me mad too
  7. We think it happened at night Sue, well - we noticed it when we got in the car at about 8am. Well done you for telling those little buggers off today!
  8. Well, we are ?245 poorer after getting our mirror fixed today. I am so very annoyed......
  9. Came out of the house this morning to find the wing mirror on the passenger side of our car (the side that was parked closest to the pavement) had been broken off - not just us - at least 5 other cars that we can see - getting a bit p'd off with the little sh*tbags who think this is just a game - it isn't, it costs hard earned cash to bloody fix. I am so angry....grrr. I have reported to the police and got a crime number, but there isn't much they can do I know....
  10. We popped in there last night having been away at the weekend. What a lovely little gem, we were very lucky too - Lou gave us a taste of the white from the cask while we were there - and very yummy it was too! We will be back :-)
  11. We are on Northcross Road too and it is ok here
  12. Thank you miket53, that was a truly humbling read
  13. We had damage to our wall last week, it happened on bin day and assumed it was an accident....maybe not?? Northcross Road btw
  14. They are called the Strumbums by the way :-)
  15. Great live band on now right now, come down if you want to see great gig!
  16. There is one of these on the tree outsdie Emily's fish bar on Northcross road - I hope they are not chopping that one down too - it is a stunner :-(
  17. Well, that is strange. I had an email from the Clockhouse with an offer on dining with wine that runs through Jan until 21st Feb??? The link takes you to the Youngs website which then goes on to say that the Clockhouse is taking part in the promotion???? http://www.youngs.co.uk/dinewithwine-jan-2013.asp
  18. I have lived on NX for 15 years and it is worse than ever. We try not to use the car at the weekend as you never get anywhere near home again, well - until Sunday evening anyway! That said, the hassle is worth it, we love living here - the neighbours are ace and it is a happy place to be :-)
  19. wee quinne I am sorry to have doubted you. We just walked down our road to see what was going on. The writing is on the "window" - there is a clothes sale tomorrow and a number of other dates and then that will be it. The sign thanks people for 15 years of service and happy memories. When I moved to Northcross Road there was just Blue Mountain and Grace and Favour - this is a very sad day for local business. However, there was chink of light under the blinds at Blue Mountain and I am delighted to say that evidence of a refurbishment is very present - lots of ladders, tools etc etc. Can't wait to see the new place - lots of luck to Mel and the team. Helen
  20. wee quinnie Do you know that for sure? When I went past this morning there was brown paper at the window, when I went past this afternoon (I am almost sure) the new window setting was on display????? Helen
  21. Well Fox, actually one side of the pavement was done on Northcross Road - the other side sounds pretty much like the description of Upland Road, broken tarmac, uneven pavements etc etc
  22. Great post Chillaxed. Peter on Northcross Road does a fantastic job come rain, hail or shine!
  23. Hi James The newly resurfaced road looks great so far - but the pavements look worse than ever now!!!!Any plans for them too? Helen
  24. Welcome to the Forum Winter12345 I agree with rebeccaben... Helen
  25. Oh Karen - my deepest sympathies go to you and your family. I often passed the time of day with your dad over the years and had wondered about him and Jed having not seen them in such a long time. In fact, the last time I saw Jed you were walking him and we had a quick chat - that must be well over a year ago now. My thoughts are with you...Helen
