  1. karter - I assume you are referring to Bushells..
  2. pushing her to sign something. I am 25 and mostly with it and could not understand what she was on about. She was so busy and trying to get in the house, claiming it was too dark outside!
  3. I don't think she was French. She wasn't a hottie.... If she had tried that with my nan I would have gone after her with a golf club.
  4. I did chuckle when she said 'don't worry, the gas we provide is better than British Gas'. Er............
  5. what made me laugh is the fact she kept going on about how N POwer will give me '?100 - for me, my backpocket, not them'. When I asked why they didn't charge just less and not use these silly promotions, she went silent.
  6. After saying she was coming back at 7, she walked past my window at 7.50 and could see I was sipping a glass of wine in front of the TV. Rang doorbell 5 times....
  7. by the way, it was on Thompson Road, so beware!
  8. A lady from N Power knockec on my door this evening at 6pm. Despite repeatedly telling me she was not selling my anything, the large N Power bag and sales chat gave it away (I am in sales, so it was a dead giveaway anyway). I told her on numerous occasions I would not sign anything without the other residents being present. However, she continued to fill out the contract and push for me to sign. She even wanted to come in, use my laptop, and tell me that they are cheaper on 'U-Switch'. She claimed she would be coming back at 7, so I have taken refuge in the pub!
  9. does anyone know what time it opens tomorrow?
  10. Chav - Hardly 'kneejerk'! This problem had been going on for AGES!
  11. Maybe the poor girl was trying to be polite with her 'merry talking'? Surely it was your fault for being so absent minded you forgot that you asked for cash back what, 2 minutes before?
  12. saw the wicked van today and wanted to know what it was! Good luck!
  13. we have just moved sales and lettings into one shop, to save having two. Not really expansion, just ease...
  14. Yes, but if it wasn't meant to be used by the car driver, why provide a car park? I was just saying it is hard to move in and out as cars often park on the side bit blocking it up.
  15. Yes in a space. But it other people park behind where there are no spaces - hemming you in!
  16. Is it me, or is the car park too small? I was trapped in there for 30 mins the other day!
  17. This bus is a saviour on a freezing day! However, it seems that just as I begin walking down to LL, it whizzes past and sails into the misty distance!
  18. Louisa - Thanks - nice to know we are not hated by everyone!
  19. We only use an estate agent when we move house - Why else would you use one ,and what other service are we here to provide? Shall we sell clothes as well to make us more loved?
  20. 19 - yes, and before you have a rant and a moan, we are all here to take your money and be total a-holes. And have horrible cars. Beat you to it.
  21. Louisa - you really have some very terrible, shocking, and uneducated views!
  22. I am sorry I think this is an utter disgrace. Yes, the shoplifters were in the wrong. However, there is NO NEED to enforce such violence. They could have easily handled the situation without such brute force.
  23. Sorry don't shop in there so wouldn't know. I don't like their overpriced toot.
  24. I don't work for Foxtons...
  25. Has anyone noticed that despite the signs people leave their stuff out there, which in turn gets opened? This morning half the street was filled with old boxes, socks and some (unfortunately, dirty) underwear!
