Hi - Was anyone else on the 176 yesterday and was also thrown off as some pleb had vomited? I also had to touch in my Oyster again, thus paying for my journey twice. How annoying?!
When I mentioned this to the baffoon that showed me some (inappropriate) houses, he just laughed. 'Are you aware of what a carbon footprint is?' I said. He looked puzzled.
I moved into Ryedale this weekend and have to say I am very pleased with the road. Also, the Herne Hill Tavern is lovely inside. Didn't realise the graveyard was so close! My brother was shocked. Good for Halloween I guess!
Barry I have noticed this too. I get the 176 to work and recently they have been coming less frequently. When they do arrive, they are so jam packed the driver doesn't even bother stopping!
Michael are you referring to Altima Court? Me too. I really like Halloween - it is the one time of year that kids can basically control the adults: give us sweets, or with mess with your house! Love it.
Yes this is true. I looked around houses by ED station and was not impressed at all. Lots of shady characters loitering around outside the undesirable shops there. In terms of rented property they are cheaper, despite proximity to the station.
Ryedale seemed nice to me. Obviously L Lane is nice and pricier, but it is also bloody noisy and packed on the weekends. My sister will be walking to it each night so if it is not safe I guess I better walk with her!!
In fairness, all areas have their benefits. I am currently on ED road - lovely road, but is bloody noisy and some would be put off by that. Horses for courses!
Was on the 176 this morning at about 9.00am when I saw a man in his parked car on the side of the road. A kid who looked no older than 10 was pushing his car and shouting at him. The man looked very scared and was trying to drive off without hurting the boy. He eventually got away but the boy chased him down the road. Very random!
