  1. Sean MG - Do you ever do anything wrong?!! Do you work for Southwark COuncil?
  2. I am really glad about the 20mph idea. People drives like bats out of hell up and down the roads here so it will be a welcome enforcement. I live on Ryedale where I think they are planning to enforce some traffic calming which will be great. Lots of kids walk on the pavements there and I always worry about them getting hit. That spanner driving the grit van may have to slow down now!
  3. Oh right - so we won't get points! Even so ?60 - and I get charged ?35 admin fee by my company for it!
  4. 3 points on your licence
  5. I will pay it and give in! However, I am going to go back and take a look at the sign. Like Joss, I was following a bus too so the sign was obscured. That area is tricky!
  6. Is it a big no entry sign? I am gutted - really thought that was the correct way to go - seen other cars do it! Southwark council are making a mint out of me!
  7. Just gotr a fine for apparently going into a no entry zone between Heaton Road/Rye Lane. The only one I am aware of is the bus lane which you can't go down. Also, the entry to Heaton Road is blocked off. DOes anyone know of any other no entry roads around there???
  8. love it Snorky. Alan Sugar better watch out!
  9. You can park in Ryedale. There are always plenty of spaces there.
  10. To be honest, it isn't great at all. When I went there the smoke alarm was on for our ENTIRE meal, and the wine was like gut rot. Food is ok for what it is. Waitresses try quite hard. Not the best place for a romantic meal, but good for a quick bite.
  11. CPT - great, just by my house. Do they go any promotions for EDF people!?
  12. can we remember there are two Seans on here!
  13. vivienne - are you serious? This just gets more insane every day!
  14. ''This all seems to be covering similar ground to the littering/cigar-butt thread, and a previous one on traffic wardens - do something naughty, get caught, get fined, throw tantrum.'' It is not tantrum throwing - but a discussion! People just don't like the tactics used by the council - if they could see the RESULTS after these fines have been processed. As I said before, the streets still have shi* on them, potholes in the road, itimidating yobs by the station. But STOP PRESS - Lilly was illegally parked!
  15. Found a set of keys on Avondale Rise today at around 11.25am. The keys have a chubb key and a normal one - both brass colour. Also have a pendant attached with small silver circles with faux diamonds in them and an Esprit logo. PM me if they are yours, or will hand into ED police station. Sean
  16. dave - precisely. And before people claim folk with use the bus - believe me they won't. The council need to realise people like using their cars!
  17. I have insider knowledge - there will be a huge overhaul of parking in ED, especially Lordship Lane.
  18. ??? - couldn't be more bang on the money (sorry, bad one there....)
  19. But if it was parked in a bay for longer than half an hour (ef on Lordship Lane) - does this clog the road? Can't you see Sean it isn't actually stopping people parking everywhere - it is just another way of lining the pockets of SOuthwark COuncil!
  20. Lilly don't even bother on here! Remember my cigar thread? You broke the law so you must be fined - that seems to be the common though process on here! I would LOVE to know what Southwark Council are doing with all this money? I still have dog sh*t on my street, and holes in the road...
  21. I saw that too - thought it was Crime Watch reconstruction! ha ha
  22. When I lived in Altima Court I was often kept awake by going on in Goose Green.
  23. Nice to see SOMEONE on her speaks sense, Tillie!
