I live on Melbourne Grove, near to the Ashbourne junction, and I whole hearted agree with the points made by Bobby P. I cannot understand the benefits of a barrier. I do wonder how much the residents of Ashbourne Grove know about this idea, I cannot imagine there has been any door-knocking or notices put through their doors?!

She sounds like she will be fine in stage 1. They are great there , and would make sure she was in the right group, and change her if necessary. She sounds at a similar stage to my son when he started in reception and he was fine in stage 1.

Hi Children do seem to like the tat you get in party bags ! eBay has lots of things to choose from if you down that route. I did one small gift which was a colouring / activity set- princesses for girls and cars2 for boys, a balloon and cake You can get this kind of colouring thing on eBay, or 'Carry along colouring sets' - a pad of small pictures with decent pencils attached. Someone suggested netpricedirect.co.uk to me which has party stuff amongst other things. It's nice to wrap the pressie up if you have time ! We did party boxes for food and pre- filled them which was easier. I went to a party at someone's house and they did chunky chips in a paper cup & fish fingers - was very popular, but not practical on the floor really. I think the boxes are good, I got them from eBay. Good luck!

Sunshine house can give you details of local drop in sessions to discuss concerns with a SLT. And, as someone else said there is also a self referral form they can email you. There is about a 3 month wait for assessment, but everyone is very helpful. Good luck with it.
