  1. We hired Mr F for a joint fifth party in a pub at the weekend and it was brilliant. The kids were engaged from the start and there was lots of laughter and hilarity allowing the parents to catch up. Highly recommended
  2. Try Sawm at Linda's Hair and beauty - I just had a fantastic massage there and have been going to her for years (although she has only recently moved to this place)
  3. Hi Can anyone recommned a good nursery which is close to Goodrich School? TIA
  4. Thanks all so much, it's such a relief to know the rough arrangement even though we won't know class specifically until September. One of the other edffers has kindly offered to send me a copy of all her paperwork. Hope to meet all of you soon! Maybe before term starts for a picnic or something ? If you're interested PM me.
  5. Also if anyone has a clue what the settling in procedure and start date for reception is (broadly) I would be interested to hear as Southwark have just told me that I will not find out which class etc and when we need to be there until September which seems RIDICULOUS! thanks
  6. Hi there, I have just been offered this and after much deliberation and taking into account the fact that the school is much much more convenient than the one that we had accepted a place at, I think we are going to have to take it. I just wondered whether there were any plans for any more meet ups before term starts - if not I would be happy to organise one so please get in touch if interested.
  7. Hi another one to add to the list please. Are you all going to the open eve on 10 June?
  8. We used tony Pestana and they were quite competetive and really good guys - they did a fantastic job and were very considerate.
  9. Our daughter has been offered a place here for September. I just wondered if anyone had any views on it? Thanks!
  10. Also I cannot quite believe that we have fallen into the "6%" of families in southwark who didn't receive any of their 6 choices and additionally got some crap school miles away - it is a joke!!
  11. Hi all really interested to hear all your views. We got offered the new Harris free school and none of our 6 choices but southwark offered us clearly what was left over somewhere off the old kent road with bad posted ratings. So at this stage I think we will be going with Harris ED but hold out for Dul village infants (which we probably won't get!) I only found out about the new Harris school late in the day so didn't get a chance to get to any of the meetings so is really interested to hear the perspectives of all you guys My reservations are the same as yours probably, no track record, not yet established, the move of site also what's to say it definitely will be ready on time? Have they recruited the teachers yet?
  12. Hi there - are you pleased about the offer? We were offered it too mad I am trying to decide what I will do tomorrow depending on what gets offered!
  13. I am also having problems in dulwich - has anyone tried to call them? I have no landline so a bit stuck as signal down most of day
  14. I challenged the yellow box PCN on a number of alternative grounds(and some technicalities) and was successful - yey! It has been cancelled and saved me ?60. It is not clear why they decided to cancel it but just shows that it is worth a challenge if youve got the time and any reason to think that the PCN may be unjustified for whatever reason If anyone wants to borrow my letter...its not my best effort but it clearly was enough to scare Transport for London into submission!
