It is a derogatory term used to describe white people who live in trailer parks in America. The sterotype is that they are ill-educated and poor. Kind of how in Britain the word chav is used.
  2. Sue: yes I know it well, unfortunately they don't do a very good range of treats...just rawhide and things my pups can't eat. I was thinking along the lines of a luxury dog shop where they sell 'sniffany & chewy vuitton' types of toys!! :)

Why do you say that it looked like the man behind her was about to assault her? How do you know he wasn't just going to confront her? I think it's wrong for you to judge him and assume he was going to do her any physical harm! Her attitude was absolutely disgutsing and to speak like that infront of her own child was shocking. Just goes to show by his response that he is used to hearing that kind of language! I am surprised she was allowed to rant for so long before being asked to shut up, there was children on the tram ffs! I think the tram driver should have stopped the tram and kicked her off. I don't think she was drunk or high just ignorant! And Claudia I think you're wrong in saying that if it had been the otherway round that less of a fuss would have been made. It would't have been acceptable either and just as many people black and white would have been disgusted.
  4. I totally agree with you Sue, I thought it was a lod of rubbish aswell and looked like the tat shops at the rubbish end of Oxford St. I do hope it's the last one of these shops to open up as they make the road look really cheap. Sorry to the guy who owns it! It would be far more suited to Lewisham market! I would love a Sushi cafe to open up, kind of in the style of Yo Sushi but not them as their Sushi isn't great. Or a dog store, treats, luxury beds & toys that kind of thing.

I tried the Waitrose delivery service and they were awful on both occasions. They turned up with items missing without telling me whereas Ocado would have text me. Also the delivery slots options are better with Ocado as they deliver say between 1-2 and always be on time and text you to remind you about the due delivery whereas Waitrose were 12-2 and don't remind you. Plus more offers on Ocado's website and easier to navigate. But you have obviously not had such a good service with them whereas I think they're excellant in comparrison to Waitrose.
  6. Thanks, I didn't know there was a name for it. Will look up the full meaning now.
  7. I have been to Skylon at The Royal Festival Halls a couple of times and although the food was good the atmosphere was dead. It was very quiet and a bit stuffy actually. I prefer the Oxo Tower, you would def want a window seat and food and service was good.

I don't know really I just did, I know what a lab looks like and I was a black one and the other one was golden coloured. In the dream I was in the body of the lab and was planning our adventure. I woke up remembering that part quite vividly. I have bizarre dreams and can wake up and then go back to sleep picking up my dream where I left off!Does that make sense to you, sorry I don't think I can explain very well what I am thinking. The dream is probably telling me that I need to get out more and socialise less with dogs and more with people :)
  9. I'd like a crutch, I'd use it to 'accidently' whack people who spit on the pavement!

I was going to say it in my last post but thought I'd let someone else get in there instead, I find your posts quite predictable. Don't mean to cause offense by saying that.

Were you pointing out how I forgot to put a full stop?
  12. I would say it's a compliment, that you put people at ease and come across as being true to yourself and not fake in any way.
  13. Nette: hahahaha happy to be a freak, beats being normal :) Can't remember anything else about the dream so don't know about the rear end bit! I often change sex in my dreams but it's the first time I was animal!
  14. I dreamt I was a labrador and me and my mate another labrador where on an adventure running around the streets of London at night looking for food and hiding from people! I would love to know what this means?!
  15. StraferJack: I didn't read the thread title properly sorry, deleriously tired just read the rage bit!! I once knew of someone who got a shoulder massage off a complete stranger sitting behind her on the nightbus once, when I asked her why she didn't ask him to stop she said she was quite enjoying it...nutcase!

  17. You need permission and have to pay the council to drop the kerb on any road. We live on a normal rd and all our neighbours have done the same thing.

  19. Ooh just thought of another one, people who insist on letting their dogs charge over off lead to me and mine (who is being trained and on a short lead) and the owners are nowhere to be seen or busy chatting on their mobile. Then when you ask them to call their dog back they just look at you as if you're crazy. Oh and the man today in the park who was walking his dog whilst in season!

Getting to > the end of the journey and the train/bus is now > largely empty but the person sat next to you just > won't go and occupy and empty seat - it's just you > and a stranger sat close together I don't see what is wrong with this one and if it bothers you so much then you should go and occupy the empty seat. What annoys me is when you are on a busy one way road sitting waiting patiently at the traffic lights to head straight on and multiple drivers try to jump the queue of traffic by driving up the lane which is meant for drivers turning right and then indicating for you to let them in! I have sat here for several minutes why should you be able to just cut in!!! Unless you know the rd you probably won't get this but it happens everytime and makes me feel a bit better to rant about it on here. Last time I confroted another driver about this after cutting ahead of me through the lights he wound down the window swearing at me and threatened to shoot me!
  21. We are in the process of applying to the council to drop ours but for now we park on the road outside, it's a flipping cheek those who do it anyway and then don't want you to park outside their house!
  22. So when there are cars parked on drives without dropped kerbs is it alright to park there? I never know if I should or not so I don't but on some roads i.e. my doctors most of the drives seem makeshift without a dropped kerb and parking is limited! Xena: put a note on the car that way they will def get the message.
  23. Sorry how rude of me forgot to say Welcome to Dulwich Barry, hope you enjoy what Dulwich has to offer. This forum is a great way to keep in touch with what's going on too.
  24. ocado.co.uk reliable, easy to use, they send you money off vouchers, wide variety of groceries and it's delivered straight to the door. It's a cheaper option for me than going to supermarkets as I manage to stick to what I need and can clearly see all the offers on products. I tried Tesco and Sainsburys online and they were rubbish for multiple reasons. I do sometimes go to the individual shops on LL such as William Rose and the ED deli but for a big wkly shop it's ocado.
  25. We took our dog for her booster yesterday and have decided to keep up with the annual boosters going forward.
